Not a fan. Microwaved, Mexican food service average Memphis Mexican. Lame margarita with some sweet/sour instead of fresh lime. Food service bright red salsa out of a gallon jug- run if you see this. Carne asada taco meat dry and grainy like it was cooked 2 days ago and microwaved. Tacos de carne asada supposed to come with tomatillo sauce which is usually green- like a real tomatillo. This was reddish brown liquid and hot as hell. The queso was decent. The pico was pico. The frijoles were from a gallon tin can with some cheese on top. Tortilla chips were Mexican food service from a box but were warm. We need to all stop frequenting and encouraging these fake Mexican places. They stirred some chopped beef in a pot, warmed some premade tortillas, microwaved a bunch of Mexican food service food and charged 30 bucks for school cafeteria grade food. Please travel out west and don't encourage these fakers. There is great Mexican/TeMex/southwestern food out there. Just nowhere in Memphis. Service was the usual "good till they drop your food" then good luck. You're forgotten. As underperforming the Happy Mexican is in general, I'd like to take the owner of this place there to eat real Tacos de carne asada. With real tomatillo sauce. Best in Memphis.

I am writing to express my concern regarding a discrepancy in the pricing of a food item I ordered at your establishment. On one occasion, I was charged $24 for a dish that was listed on the menu for $22. The following day, when I ordered the same item, I was charged $29. I understand that there may be occasional fluctuations in pricing, but this significant difference has left me feeling confused and concerned about the accuracy of your pricing practices. Additionally, I have noticed the inclusion of a "Custom item" line on my receipts, which raises doubts in my mind about the transparency and fairness of your pricing.

A great little spot for a quick lunch or nice dinner. Close to I-40 on Hwy 64 in the plaza with grocery store. Easy access for take out. Nice dining area & they also have a very nice patio area too. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is very good. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. Covid guidelines in place must wear a mask. They have dine in service as well as take out. I was in to make alarge lunch order for take out and the server was very helpful. I highly recommend to anyone in this area looking for a place for a nice Mexican meal.

How to get a one star review…don’t greet me when I step into your establishment. Didn’t even look at me or speak to me as I walked in and walked up to the front register to inquire about my order I placed online. This was my first time here so I didn’t know there was a table up front with to-go orders. I had to figure that out on my own because the two workers at the register refused to acknowledge the black woman that had just walked in (me). As I spot my name on a bag after someone else walked in and grabbed an order from the table, I grab my food and leave. As I’m walking out the door, they call me back. NOW THEY WANT TO SPEAK?? They didn’t have my cheesecake. I get my refund for the cheesecake then take my nachos home. Get all the way home and start eating my food. I ordered the nachos supreme that was supposed to have chicken and steak. I paid $5 extra for shrimp. My nachos just had shrimp and no chicken and steak. I drive all the way back and tell them they gave me shrimp only and forgot the chicken and steak. The same guy at the register who refused to acknowledge me the first time I came then proceeded to argue with me that the Nachos supreme didn’t come with chicken and steak at all. I had to show him on my receipt where it does and how I paid extra for shrimp. He then takes the wrong order back and I get the correct order made. When he comes back with the correct order he says nothing and just hands it to me. Why does HE have an attitude?? I’m the one you guys ignored, gave the wrong order to, then had to drive all the way back just to essentially be called a liar. I take my food and I leave. Was the most horrible service ever. Was my first and only time ever going there and I will tell anyone with ears about my experience. I’d hate to say it was because I was black, but that’s the vibe I got. 0/0 would...

I used to be a frequent customer coming 2-3 times a week, recently their food has been tasting different, maybe they have a different chef, but i dont see the need of changing the old recipes that frequent customers are used to, i ordered Shredded beef street tacos, the beef had different seasonings im not familiar with, and it was also more drier texture wise while chewing and swallowing, the refried beans that came with it even looked and tasted different, they taste less natural than before and more refried if that makes sense, the tomatillo salsa was lighter and less spicier than before, which for tacos is not good. I went in another day to try something different and give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe their main chef was not present the day i had my bad experience there, but no, i ordered the combination with tamale, chicken burrito, and beef enchilada, with also a side of rice. The chicken was fine, but the red salsa on the enchilada and burrito tasted different, it had different condiments im not used to, the burrito sauce used to have more parsley flakes in it or im not sure what it is, this time i barely see any of those flakes and it had a different flavor, the enchilada sauce tasted more tomato flavor than usual as well, and the serving for the side of rice (which is $2.89) is so small you can fit it in a small cheese dip bowl, and its also more broken down it looks like little orange balls instead of rice, i used to love their food but now it tastes different and they made their portions for all their food smaller while customers get charged the same amount as weeks prior for the same food. They have good skinny margaritas and i also love their pink margarita ill give them that. The service was awesome as usual but i wont be coming back in the...

I've ordered takeout all 3 times that I've visited (all in the last few months) and it seems to be getting worse each time. I get that the pandemic has caused longer wait times everywhere and so I try to exclude that in comments (but one of the times there were 2 parties of people in the restaurant and it still took about 10 minutes for someone to come to the front to ring up my order-the whole time my order was sitting on the counter at the front). The first time, everything was good taste-wise, but I couldn't get through on the phone to order so I went in to place my order, then came back because of the wait time they said, but even adding a few minutes on the time they said, my food wasn't ready for another 20 minutes. The second time I went, it wasn't as flavorful, but it did come out faster. (Both times I ordered the same thing: a chicken chimichanga. My most recent visit was the most frustrating. I ordered by phone and decided to try the fajita chicken quesadilla and horchata. When I got there, my food was ready, but my horchata was not. It took about 20 minutes for them to get the horchata. At that point, my food had gotten cold, which wouldn't have been the case had I not had to wait for the horchata (which ended up lacking, probably because the flavor was all sitting at the bottom, under the ice). Although the fajita chicken quesadilla was cold, it was packed with flavor, so maybe I'll give them another shot, and just not...
