I've been a manager at a restaurant for a few years now. I always try to be patient with everyone in the industry, I know how it is to be busy or understaffed, etc.
Last night, my group of 5 came in to eat before our movie. We saw it was a bit busy, nearly every table was full. We informed the hostess that there were 5 of us, possibly 6. She said there would be a short wait. Fine. After about 15 minutes, a family of 5 came in,the hostess also noted that there would be a short wait. another 10 minutes, another group of 5 guys came in. Both of these parties were seated before us. We were literally are the front of the line in full view of the nearly 6 employees making eye contact with us.
After almost 40-45 minutes of waiting, we asked why we weren't seated, they claimed because they thought we had 6 people total that there wasn't any place to seat us... facepalm, not to mention the fact that both of the parties "before" us were seated at 6 person tables... I even had time to call the nearby Applebees to see if they had tables for 6, which they did. Big mistake coming here, I guess.
The manager was then involved and informed us that there was a booth available and it would be tight but we could have it if we wanted too. Probably the sort of thing they could have asked us had we been offered one of the tables that seated 6 people. (?)
We were eventually seated at a table... that being said, our drink orders took far longer than they should have considering it was mostly waters at the table, two of us even got alcoholic beverages from the bar before the water made it there.
We had 3 separate employees, and a manager come by to ask if we've been helped/our order was taken yet, after replying "no", they all walked away looking for someone else. It wasn't until parts of my party were loudly snarking comments over the crowds cheering that someone eventually came over. So 15 more minutes after getting the water, we finally ordered.
Needless to say, we were late for our movie missed previews and about 10+ minutes to start.
I'm not saying that my party was acceptably polite during that experience. We were mad, and upset about the movie which we had left a reasonable amount of time between dinner and the show but somehow ended up being late for. If I'm being honest, the staff did not handle us well.
Overall, I'd say I probably won't go back to that location again. The food wasn't very good, the service I experienced last night was not great by any means. I feel I'd rather spend my money at someplace I enjoy and last night proved to me that I won't be...
Read moreI was sick and too tired to cook dinner or pick it up myself- so paid a lot extra for delivery to get my kids fed. I haven't received correct food in the past from this location, so knew I was taking a chance but it was late and I had limited options and hungry kids. For $41, we received 2 burgers (1 was a kids meal) without the sauce or sides or drink, and an appetizer of pretzel knots. My youngest had been asking for fries all day, and was very disappointed that they were missing. I called and was told that the only thing they could do was give me some if I picked them up myself, which I did even though I was too sick to go anywhere, because my son was so upset and I felt bad for laying around all day. I said on the phone that I was coming, and was told he would upgrade them both to larges for the inconvenience. He sounded like he was going to prepare them right away. I arrived, and waited a long time before anyone came to help me. They knew nothing about the fries, and went in the back to ask, and 5 minutes later came back to tell me he was putting fresh ones in right then. After waiting several more minutes, she brought me a bag and apologized that he put both sides in 1 container, but at that point, I just needed to get home and back in bed so took what I got. It was not even a full container, less fries than we should have originally had instead of the free upgrade I was promised for coming to pick it up myself. It would be more understandable if it was busy, but there were only 2 tables with customers, 1 of which left while I was waiting. This is not the first time that I have had to pick up my order after paying delivery fees and tips because I couldn't do it myself. Very disappointing lack of customer service, I will choose other locations in the future instead of this one that's 3 minutes from my house. I get great service at...
Read moreDid pick up today - there is now a $.99 pickup fee. I said ok. I understand.. Place my order for pickup way later than I was ordering (12 noon and pick up 5:10PM). Arrived early, they said another few minutes which I appreciated because that means my food hasn't been sitting forever. Come home and we are missing a large part of our order. I call and the hostess says she will get it figured out and get the manager. Instead of the manager taking the call they have this girl tell me I can either come back or get a refund. Not her fault so I say we will just come back for the missing parts of the order. A. We dine in - tip. B. We pick up we have a fee plus tip (auto generated through online ordering). C. We get delivery so a fee plus tip. No matter what scenario we still pay extra fees. Plus upon my husband coming back from picking up what was supposed to be his valentines day dinner suprise (he had been talking about BW3 for two weeks) I realize that we didn't get the beverage for my child's meal. Whoever the hostess is - you're awesome. Manager for not taking my call - not awesome. Great employees do not make a company great. It is a combo of how you treat your employees (for all this girl knew I was gonna go off) and the service provided - there were other things still missing! Should have been right the first time. Get...
