Not surprised to see another review about having to remake a drink and the barista having an attitude about it.
Context: I don't go to Caribou much or coffee places often for that matter. I asked for a Green Tea Frappe... corrected myself remembering its a cooler at Caribou. Tried to be as clear as possible... the one with the square bubbles. The cashier must have been new which is fine she was sweet. But the payscreen came up with lemonade and I specifically said not the one with lemonade. The barista ended up making the wrong one with lemonade like I assumed would happen just by how holier than thou she was already getting about a drink despite me trying to explain best I could. I told her "not this one". They remade it. She said "Yep one Matcha cooler" just plopping it on the counter with a eye roll & I said "thanks"... and the way she said "have a nice daaaay" was as if I was trying to be difficult when I was doing my best to explain from the start... just wow.
I GET where the confusion was... saying green tea vs matcha... (even though I tried my best to communicate at the time saying "not with lemonade" which literally still means exactly that still.) I just dont understand why there was no basic understanding that other people are human beings and maybe be professional and just communicate kindly about a confusion. Sorry I don't go to coffee...

Saturday morning visit while waiting for tires to be installed next door.. stood in line for 10 minutes to order a black coffee and toasted bagel.. order taken and by the time my toasted bagel was brought out to pick up it was cold enough not to melt the butter and then I was told I would have to another 5 minutes to get my black coffee because they were going to have to brew more because no one behind the counter knew how to. At this point they were out of light and dark roasts.. then a person comes out from kitchen and only starts coffee for dark because of my order, then a person next to me asked where her light roast coffee order was. Then the same kitchen person returned and started the light roast to brew, like it was ok to be out of coffee in a coffee shop at 9 a.m. Really poor awareness of the business objective off selling highest profit margin product and making customers wait for the one pour and go product they sell. Atmosphere is nice and comfortable.. great potential for the business, just need to teach management decision making and production...
Read moreI go to this location weekly since it opened because of the drive through. I try to be understanding because it was a new location but every time we go it’s something. Wrong coffee, they forget a coffee, the coffee I ordered (Carmel high rise) taste like black coffee, slow, confusion from the employees, wrong food order. Like I said I have been going weekly so the list can go on but today I ordered a Carmel high rise with extra whip. I got a black coffee with some Carmel in it and instead of extra whip (which I pay for) I got some frothy milk on top and no Carmel drizzle. We also waited an hour in the drive through. I thought about going in but as we drove away a lady that went inside about the same time we pulled up came out. So it wouldn’t have mattered. Something needs to improve here, it’s been almost 9 months and no improvement. I love the convince of the drive through but it’s really not convenient when you don’t get your order and you have to wait an hour for a coffee and a sandwich. I would hate to have to find a new weekly...
