Ordered chinese from Eddie Cheng at 5:30, gave them our current address when she asked, and was told it would be here within the hour. Fast forward to 10 min ago when I get a phone call from the delivery driver asking our address, which I also give to him. He says I need to call the restuarant we don't deliver that far. Then I get a call from the lady at Eddie Cheng that originally took my order asking me again for my address. I give it to her again, to which she says we still had you at the Ionia Path address we don't deliver that far. I am beyond hangry at this point. I tell her you took my address when I called and you never mentioned you didn't deliver here...again she disputes that she had our old address. She never apologizes or takes responsibility for her mistake. I tell her this is unacceptable and I want a refund or coupons and she says they don't have coupons and asks me if I want the food or not? I tell her of course I want the food...I have a starving 3 yr old waiting for his dinner and again this is poor customer service. She then says he is going to your house before all the other customers and we don't even deliver there. Wow...we used to order at least 1/week at the old house, but after this we will never again and everyone will know about the horrible customer service we received. Oh and the food just got here and it isn't even right 𤬠i ordered chicken and broccoli and she sent just steamed broccoli. I called back and again the same woman argued with me that I ordered incorrectly!! Not to mention she charged me $7.95 for steamed broccoli are you fricken kidding me???!!!! Just a little update the rude lady that screwed up my order and argued with me is the manager/owner....

No, it's not 'authentic' Chinese (if you want that, check out Mandarin Kitchen in Bloomington, Yangtze in St. Louis Park, Little Szechuan/Lao Sze Chuan in Mpls, or Asian Mall in Eden Prairie). If you want Americanized Chinese, you should go to one of the many Panda Express or Leeann Chins. But for a quick and convenient Chinese take-out option south of the river that is almost always open; check out Eddie Chengs in Lakeville!
I've had some of the other few around here: Tak Shing, Lakeville Chinese, Egg Roll King (AV), Golden Wok, etc. At the end of the day, I gravitate toward Eddie Chengs (Lakeville) due to its quality, consistency, and price. The people that runs it is an added bonus!
I've been here over a decade now and the family that runs the restaurant has always been welcoming and helpful. Seen their kids grown up over the years as well. While many businesses along that strip mall has come and gone over the years (RIP Cherry Berry); Eddie Chengs has been a cornerstone there and have continued to serve delicious eats over the years! Check it out if you're ever craving Chinese take-out and want a cheap and reliable option to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe lady I spoke with in the phone was very polite and knowledgeable about the food. Food arrived before quoted time, ten minutes early and I appreciated that as I was really hungry. The gentleman delivering the food was very kind, courteous, and polite. Then when I opened my order up it was like Christmas morning! The food was piping hot, well packaged together, and there was plenty of it! I ordered two large sizes of Curry Chicken and some egg drop soup. I am very well pleased with the customer service, food, delivery, and cost of what I ordered! I have found that perfect place for this winter when I want to order Chinese delivery on a day I wish to stay in. Thank you New Eddie Chang Restaurant Crew!!! I will be ordering there many times to...
