Leaving a Vikings preseason game and heading south I was in need of some food. I mean stadium food is good, if you wanna spend five star restaurant prices for a hot dog. This location is fairly new. And luckily for me they are open until midnight on a Saturday. Grabbed a box combo and drove to the nearby rest area, bashed it and was out cold.

I have no idea why I can not Swipe French fry into the toast that's so weird. And then I was done it so many times before. There was having no problems with it..and it's was so weird the chicken out side of the bread is way more than the chicken. It was too much of the coating.

Busy location. Our food came out hot, and the chicken and french fries were crispy. The sauce was good. They have a self serve pop machine, which is nice. The cashier was very quiet, but he was polite and helpful. The restaurant is well decorated and the furniture is nice.

First time getting chicken from here and I understand the hype. I got the box combo that had four strips because I thought there's no way that three would fill me up. Boy was I wrong. The three strip combo would have been excellent. That being said, I still ate all four strips because they were too amazing especially with the sauce.

The only thing that kept me from getting them five stars was the long and slow line at the drive-thru. I was willing to wait but others were pretty impatient. It took about 20 minutes to get through the drive-thru and there's not a good flow when the drive-thru line is overflowing. There is a super Target right here and people trying to go to the store were being restricted from going through because of the line. Also sometimes the drive-thru line was blocking people from exiting Cane's.

But that's the biggest thing I can find to complain about - just the traffic flow. The food and the kind service...

In the words of the two teenage boys I was traveling with, this was "very mid". In the words of the middle aged man driving, "Meh. Over-hyped." We don't have Cane's where we live...and we won't be needing one here. Fingers were bland....some of the most bland I've had. Batter was light but fell straight off the fingers. I've had better fingers from a gas station ( looking at you Kwik Trip). I've had better slaw from the grocery store deli ( that's right Super One). And I've had better crinkle cut fries from my oven at home out of a plastic bag in the freezer. Only the Texas toast got positive remarks from everyone. So, if you're craving Texas Toast, pick some up. But you won't ever catch us at a Cane's again unless there literally isn't any other option. Staff were great, just FYI. Decor was typical prepackaged mass marketing for a chain. FOOD WAS...

I love Cane's and I tend to have a smooth experience but I'm not a fan of this location's drive through. The double ordering windows might seem like a good idea, but it's not. They don't have a screen to review your order so the workers try to tell it back to you, but it's incredibly difficult to hear! You can barely hear the speaker next to you but it's over shadowed by the other ordering station. You can barely tell which speaker is talking to you or if you're hearing the other one. They got my order wrong and tried to fix it at the credit card window but it was too late already... It was screwed up and made it so much more difficult than it had to be. My order was so messed up. Would have easily been prevented either with screens to review my order myself or not having two ordering stations. I likely won't be going back to...
