Slice of Austin — Restaurant in Lakeway

So I'm from Dallas and In town for business. Any time I'm out of town I try to find a local Pizza Joint to try out. I picked Slice Of Austin because it was right down the rd from my hotel and open lol.

I make the joke about it being open because I'm Lakeway I found most places close insanely early.

I wasn't sure what to get and wanted to change it up a little so I went ahead and ordered a supreme. Not my normal go to but figured why not.

The staff were very attentive and the kid working the front desk kept a conversation going while I waited. He was a little busy and was trying to make sure I was taken care of. Really appreciate that.

So now I guess the part that you really want..... how was the Pizza. So I'd give it a 7.5/10 and that's not a bad thing. It was very very good. My only complaint it was kinda floppy. But with that being said, I'm a weirdo and like my pizza cooked a little more than others. But for normal ppl it would be perfect. The crust was absolutely perfect. It was slightly crunchy but inside was super soft.

100% would recommend to anyone who wants a good pizza and I'll be eating there again if I'm...

Good experience our first stop at Slice of Austin! Ambiance is lacking, it’s really a drive through, carry out place, and we wanted to eat on the spot! The description of the place would be better served to ID it as a drive through, carry out spot.

That said, there are a couple of picnic tables there, and we hung out after the rain stopped. Staff was great, friendly, helpful, good service at “the table” checked on us couple of times the makes sure we were good.

Super disappointed they were out of wings on our visit, we love our wings as a starter. The Caesar salad was good, mostly lettuce and shaved parm cheese… the dressing was great, the croutons were out of a box….

The pizza (supreme) was stellar, delicious… piping hot, plenty of toppings too! The crust was awesome NY/Italian-style, huge, flat chewy dough, thin and nice crust, a few burnt edges to make it real!

A good meal, great pizza … we like our pizza hot on the spot, not real carry out folks! But, that’s just us! Sign in the window says beer and wine coming soon! This is righteous pizza, pricey but worth the money. We’d go back… and, we will!...

This location has had its share of pizza businesses and as with them all…I had to try this one. I’m very happy to say that I’m glad I did.

My wife and I were trying to decide on dinner this weekend and pizza from Slice of Austin won. It’s a quarter mile from the house, their menu looked good and they have an app that lets you know when your order is ready. Easy choice.

My first impression was the service when I walked in the door and was greeted with a warm hello and a friendly smile. This is often missed by most businesses nowadays so I appreciated it. Next was the enormous size of the pizza box! Last was the huge thank you I got for ordering pizza from their business as I walked out the door…now that’s service!

After getting dinner home I was impressed at the looks of the four cheese pizza and especially because I don’t like pizza sauce and presto…no sauce, so it was perfect. The spritz of ricotta on each slice was also a nice touch. Four cheese might be my favorite pizza here now.

I’m impressed with both the service and the food and will definitely be back again. Highly...
