The atmosphere is ok with isolated booths, but that was just about the only thing that was ok. As soon as you walk in it smells like elderly people in there. They need to refresh the air once in a while. Everything was extremely salty. The lady was trying to cheap out by not giving us the cabbage salad (brought it then took it back out-Why?) The other girl brought it back in saying sorry idk why she didnt give it to you. They also do not give the fried eggs anymore even though everything is overpriced now. We spent almost $80 for two of us and we were barely full, and this is def not a fancy restaurant. This place used to be better but they just seem to be trying to be cheap now even though the price is twice as much, portions are smaller and not as good as it used to be. Fish cake soup was literally a couple of ingredients in msg soup, chicken was undercooked. Also after they brought out the food they did not check on us NOT ONCE. Regret giving the generous tip that they did not deserve. For 0 service you should not expect tip. Also def not wheelchair accessible so those applicable dont even thinking about coming here. The menu and photos on the window are misleading, they do not sell those foods and so they should not have those photos outside! Outrageous. I used to come here a lot but decided to come again after a while and I was very disappointed at both the service and the food and felt sorry for suggesting to come here. Will not...
Read moreGreat food. Horrible management and customer service. Second time ordering for pick up online, on my way home from MBA class at P.L.U.. I walked in gave my name for pickup. Now mind you I ordered online hence already paid. Get there again and I’m told my order has to be verified. My name was on the bag, showed owner the text message I received from her confirming my order and she still said she had to go back to verify. It wasn’t until the cook came and told her my name was on the bag that I was finally given what I’d ordered and paid for 2.5hrs prior while in class. After realizing the mistake again, the owner tells me she verify the orders that way because people steal. Now I was the only customer when I entered the establishment, and the only Kenny in the building yet I was treated like a theft, when I only wanted to pick up the order I already paid for. Sorry, but the owners have that 1990s Korean store in the black neighborhood mentality where African American customers are discriminated against but still want your business. Sucks cause their food is bomb.com and if you’re not African American, you’ll probably enjoy your food and stay. However, if you are AA and don’t want the 1990s south LA experience I strongly recommend...
Read moreI decided to to try this place for the first time tonight after reading all these RAVE reviews below. I was craving for some spicy rice cake and I was shocked to see it on the menu for $12.99. Really? In Korea, spicy rice cake is just a cheap street food worth maybe 3 USD. Kinda like getting a hotdog from a street vendor in the U.S. So in perspective, its like an amercan restaurant charging you $12.99 for a hotdog. Got it? LOL. The most I paid was about $8.00, and that's in New York City!!! I didn't realize Lakewood was such an expensive town. LOL. Anyway, I settled for fried gizzards, and spicy chicken wings to go. When I got home, I found gizzards inedible fried to crisp. It appears either they were in the fryer too long or an item that was refried. Next, the spicy chicken wings I found ithe sauce tasting exactly like the SAUCE on General Tso's Chickens you find in a typical American Chinese restaurant, with some red peppers added in for heat, and I hate General Tso's chicken. Didn't any of you realize this when you wrote your ridiculous reviews? I threw away both the gizzards and the "General Tso's Chicken Wings". I have spent a total of $32.00. I honestly don't know how this place justify the menu price for such...
