Oh man! Ok so this was my first time ordering from here. Let's start with the good: Tacos came beautifully plated! You can tell they care enough about the food to make sure it comes properly packaged. Portions of meat are generous, fresh tortilla, gorgeous grilled onions and jalapeno! The quesabirra was tasty, excellent flavor, best thing I ordered.
Al pastor tacos: I love.. love love love al pastor tacos, looking at these bad boys made me really excited to have finally found al pastor tacos with big chunks of grilled pineapple outside of my favorite place in Seattle. The meat looked fantastic and it was juicy. Unfortunately they were so heavily seasoned with clove, they were inedible :( heartbreaking. Sadly these went to waste.
Beans and rice: great! Solid.
Friends buritto: ordered without rice and sadly was received with a ton of rice.
I would love to give the al pastor another shot, as someone who cooks for a living I cannot imagine that the amount of clove used on the al pastor was deliberate. Might try again (but call to check the seasoning first 🤣)
Overall, you can tell this place cares about the food...
Read moreHey there,
The food here is among the best Mexican foods in Washington State. The young lady that attended to me was extremely friendly, professional, and patient.
Prior to going to Los Cuervos, nachos and tacos were my only experience with Mexican food. Boy, was I in for a treat. I got 2 tacos fully loaded with various meats and authentic Mexican flavory goodness. I also got a fully loaded burrito- I don't remember the name but it might have been "carnitas" burrito-. I'll check my receipt for the names of what I ordered, and then update my review accordingly.
I ordered at a pretty busy time, yet the same professional young lady mentioned above had some nachos and some salsa appetizers ready in under 3 minutes. It took about 12 minutes for me to receive the 3 tacos, the burrito, and some authentic white-looking tea that tasted like Heavenly bliss.
Overall, I had an awesome time dining in at Los Cuervos in Lakewood, WA, so I recommend here as your go-to for an authentic foray into amazing, authentic, and professional Mexican cuisine with a family-like feel when dining...
Read moreI'm always looking to try new Mexican restaurants. I was REALLY excited to find a local place that served Birria Tacos Dorados! Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The tacos were pretty stale by the time my UberEats driver arrived, which was only 30 minutes from placing the order. Very tasty though extremely greasy! Super greasy. 8 napkins greasy! The radish and lime were not exactly the freshest, which was a bummer because I love both. The side of rice and beans was MEH. Good protion size but just so-so tasting. Also, the site on UberEats says it's Buy One Get One Free. That wasn't the case at all. Again, disappointing and misleading. But the Birria cup was heavenly! I could have drank it down. So many levels of rich flavors and a deep earthiness to it. Just how I was expecting it. Very traditional tasting. Authentic. The hot sauce they have was really good too. Not sure if they make if in house but had a good heat with a nice sweet kind of fruity flavor. Perhaps it's just better to eat at the restaurant as opposed to UberEats. I may give that a...
