This place is from a bygone era, and it’s an era that should never have gone away. I walked in there with my extended family and was immediately transported to my childhood in NJ. The staff is awesome. The ambiance is fantastic - zero frills, just straight up old school pizzeria. We ordered our pies, and when they arrived I was giddy. Took a slice, and it was heaven. Crust was crispy on the bottom, cheese was practically liquid, just a molten triangle of excellence. I ate 4 slices. I’ve been thinking that my local place in Maryland is great, because it REMINDS me of this kind of pizza. My memories have definitely faded over time, because this pizza was just otherworldly. The best. Nothing special in the sense that it’s fancy. It’s exactly what I think of when I have a craving for that utilitarian Jersey pizza. It’s just heavenly, and these guys knocked it out of the park. No wonder they’ve been there for 60 years. If you're expecting anything fancy or modern, it ain't that. It's just seriously solid old school pies, made the way they should be, and I'm here for it. 65...

I have been going to Nicole's for many years and like many good things it's sad to say they have gone down hill. I ordered a slice of pizza and a sausage roll and me friend ordered a salad with chicken on it. After a long wait the salad with chicken came and my friend slowly ate their entire meal before my slice of pizza came. Had had to go up twice and ask what the hold up was. Meanwhile we where literally the only table in the whole place. The slice came dried out and burnt. The sausage roll was another 10 minutes so I said please wrap it to go and I paid and did not even take it. Before I wrote a review I decided to call the owner because I have been coming in on and off for 20 years. I was told by the person on the phone "I'm the owners son so that makes me the owner and you wee rude so I'm not going to talk to you. This is the first review I have ever felt compelled to write but wow terrible service, bad food and a jerk owner good luck...

I just had the most delicious meal from Nichola’s today. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms, six mild wings and an antipasto salad. I ordered delivery and the food came super fast and was unbelievably delicious! The cheesesteak was piping hot and the juice from the steak had seeped into the roll and made it so delicious! I also liked that there was no gristle in the meat. It was tender and delicious. The wings were very good and not chewy and I believe it was a homemade hot sauce they put with them. And the antipasto salad was amazing! Huge! and lots of delicious meats and cheeses and vegetables on it. I especially loved the mozzarella cheese – it had a very good flavor and I really enjoyed the salad. Plus they give you garlic bread with a salad and that was delicious as well. Overall the food was amazing and I will definitely be ordering from them on a...

Took an off day drive out to Lambertville to do some sightseeing. I ended up stopping at this local pizzeria and was thoroughly impressed. Nicolas has been around for over 50 years, which is always a good sign, and built inside what was once a colonial era tavern. The signature pizza of this area of NJ is the Trenton upside down tomato pie ( similar to a typical New York style plain pie but with the sauce over the cheese), and their’s is excellent. The sauce was plump and naturally sweet , the ratio of sauce to cheese was typical of this style, and the crust was thin and crunchy with little flop, just the way I like it. Equally impressive was their signature cheesesteak, the “GasPipe”, made with a combination of I assume to be shaved ribeye, chicken, mushrooms, onions, garlic, spinach, eggs, and white American cheese on an Italian roll, DELISH.

The owner is very friendly and I enjoyed his tomato story. The pizza was delicious and made to order. I now understand why there is a Help Wanted sign out front though. The 2 young men working there have a lot to be desired. It took the one gentleman longer to make my hoagie than it did to make a pizza from scratch. The way I see it, these two take advantage of the kind nature of the owner. I would go back again but those 2 young men need to go. The delivery driver lazily stands where the customers wait just taking up unesasary space. Do some work. The waitress is very nice as is the quaint dining room area. The pizza is well worth the trip.

I used to go here many years back . The fact that it’s still there speaks volumes. Since I was in a rush I did have time to learn more. Convenient location. Gettin into the ever popular Lambertville n it’s traffic. Guys drive up a bit to Frenchtown and try it too.. compared to many pizza places they didn’t have a vast array of choices so I tried the Sicilian which was fine . If you need a quick bite give this place a try!
