Five Grands Coffee — Restaurant in Lancaster

Well, paid for a cookies & cream on a sugar cone and a guy took my order. First, him and other coworker debated who going to fixed it. Secondly, he chooses to do it. I saw him grab some gloves, but when he went to grab my cone it was with his bare hands. I asked him while the other coworker was standing there “ did you just grab that with your bare hand” you wouldn’t believe what he did and said. HE CHUCKLED and said “YEAH”! The coworker went to the back talking to someone else but couldn’t hear what was said. My thing is, it’s common sense to used gloves if you handling money and someone’s food. PERIOD!!! If you called someone out on something in a food environment in which their backs are to you, you don’t know what they are going to do with your food. I pray over my food but times like that you don’t know what they are doing to it, just because I called him out on it. Some people think it’s okay but not for me! Handling money and plus I don’t know what he was doing before I went in there. He didn’t go wash his hands prior to. Money is DIRTY and touching on other stuff like cash register and then countertops not so clean. People who works in the food industry please WASH your HANDS! I could have been a Food critic and he did that....

We have tried this place twice over the past 4 months. We visit various coffee shops in the greater Charlotte area. Both times we visited they were not able to serve us coffee. They didn't have any drip coffee available. Which is really odd considering they only specialize in coffee and ice cream. The staff were super polite and very friendly. We really want to like this place but after a couple of failed attempts I don't think we will be back. I am sure it is great for ice cream so maybe that is what this place should focus on...

Todays my birthday and there was nothing more that I wanted this morning than a coffee from Five Grands. The accessibility & convenience of FG is what I love. It may be in a “strip mall”, but the curbside pickup is a life saver! It’s way better than waiting in a drive thru! I am always in and out! ALL of the employees I’ve encountered over the last 6/8 months are happy and have great customer service. There’s no other match to their white chocolate mocha! I will...
