Jo Mars Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Lancaster

Couldn't give less than one star. Family has always gone here for years, normally get a perfect steak. As I was in Jomars tonight again with my family including a 1 year old. I ordered my steak medium well. The steak come out completely burnt all over and dark gray on the inside. I politely asked the waitress to get me another one and she politely did so. After the rest of my family was done eating I then received my second steak which was equally burnt. I asked my waitress if she would just make me a hamburger she told me I would still be charged for the steak. So she went and got the manager. She gets an attitude as soon as she gets there. I explain what happened she became irate telling me that I was lucky they recooked the first one... Then begins to chew me out in front of the entire restaurant. I simply said we'll see what john (the owner) has to say about this. As I waited over an hour John finally show's up by this time the entire place was talking about us. The waitresses were talking trash about our entire family loud enough for everyone to hear. JOHN TOOK THEIR SIDE WHEN HE ARRIVED SAYING I COST HIM 30 DOLLARS IN STEAK. Then the manager rudely forced her way in between me and my mother and rudely started hollering again. My mom was pissed and told her she didn't have to push her out of the way like that. Then the MANAGER tried to fight my mother along with all the waitresses. I hope you go out of business. This was horrible. I've never been treated so...

My Husband was hungry and was craving veggies. So we drove from Pageland to Lancaster on #9. We were Greeted and quickly seated as we entered. We were seated in the Sun Garden Room. We had the Friendless Waitress Ever. I am so sorry I cant remeber her name. She had long curly hair. I believe that's her normal area to work. Never did We have to Ask her for A Thing. She was very Attentive and keep your glass full. Bringing Napkins ( Sometimes I'm A Bit Sloppy, I am Disabled) We ordered the Bar and Tea. My husband said that was the Best Coldest Sweet Tea he has ever drank. I had Unsweeten Tea. The Bar had a Huge Array of Meats, Veggies, Salad Bar, Homemade Soups, Dessert Bar. There was Fried, Baked and Broiled/Grilled Chicken. They Have Home Made "Fat Back"!!! They had Fish made several ways and Shrimp. They had Chicken Livers, with Onions and Peppers, (Hubby Loved). Homemade Mac N Cheese, Limas, Okra, Squash, Corn, Greens, Mashed Potatos, Gravy and So So Much More. Homemade Desserts and Ice Cream like Pecan Pie, Carrot Cake, Cheese Cake, Banana Pudding, Chocolate Cake and Many More Pies and Cobblers. Dinner was $10.95. They also have you can but from a menu. We ordered prime rib which was good. There were large portions of food. The reason they get a 1 * is because the owner was sitting at a table behind us and berated a waitress for over 10 minutes. He was not quiet about it. I turned around several times and looked at him hopeful he would realize he was disturbing his customers. He glared at ME. He continued to harrass her publicly. My husband decided we needed to leave. I asked for a Styrofoam cup to carry my tea. Our waitress said the cup is 55 cents. Not very politely I, loud enough to be heard by him, said he could stick that 55 cents up his a--. I told the waitress before I left, alone with a hefty tip, what I thought of him, his business acumen, and his lack of concern for both his staff and customers. Told her I am doing this review.
