Hardee’s — Restaurant in Lancaster

On June 17th, purchased an apple pie @ the window. The pie was cold. Asked for another. When received, asked if was fresh, was told was not sure, I then asked for refund. A manager asked me to drive forward. I asked why, she indicated had other customers. I indicated just wanted a refund needed get back to work.

All of a sudden another young man abruptly came to the window & in a disrespectful, loud tone, "you always give us problems you don't need to come back here anymore - the mrg never said anything! I was shocked, I only recently ordered chicken wraps about 6 other times & never had a problem they were always pleasant.

I returned couple days went inside spoke to a mrg. Glenda, she indicated didn't know who worked but will check later. I noted was taken it serious will return. I did filed a complaint on Corp website & did receive an email few weeks later indicating will forward to District mrg who will follow up.

Since now Sept 5th, & haven't heard anything, I dropped in & spoke to Glenda again. She indicated did speak to them but no one was fired, I felt something more should have been done.

(I work customer service in many compacities for many years, I would have been suspended, actually, fired).

She continued, "I gave you a free meal what more do you want". She did ask if wanted Dis mrg #, I said yes & if could have her name, she then said in a loud, rude manner, "you don't need my name I already gave it to you", I said only wanted to put with Dis. mrg info. She then told me to, "Get out, "you need to leave my restaurant or I will call the police, and I know where you work.

I was like, OMG because I can't believe that I was never rude, not even the 1st time & they talked to me like that & now I am being treated like I'm at fault!!

As I left the police showed up, asked what happened, I told him, he went inside, came out, ask for my ID & took a picture then gave me a slip, banning me from Hardees! NOW I FEEL LIKE A CRIMINAL! YES, I AM UPSET!

This seems to be the cultural at this place. I first mistreated by an employee & a mrg so called mrg, then mistreated and threaten by I guest a higher ranking mrg, so they all think its ok! I noticed how all the other employees heads were down working like its business as usual! WELL IT’S NOT OK!! and I will ensure this doesn't go unchecked!

My issue is not about the $1.00, it about the principle.

It is always cold in there and we were prepared we brought coats. 72 degrees outside and 42 inside. The man running the register did not know what he was doing. He got someone to help him with the coupon and then charged me the coupon price for the chicken strip meal then charged me a extra $5.00 for the chicken strips. The shift manager at 6p.m. came out to give the the $5.00 back and did not want to give the .50 cent tax. when my strip meal was delivered to the table The big ham and cheese sand. was no where to be found and the fries on the chick meal were cold. Over 10 min. later the sandwich came out. I asked for my receipt so i could do a review man never brought receipt. If i owned this franchise i would let every employee go and start over. I love the chicken strips but service in the eveings is always terrible. I only go here about 3 times a year because going here always ruins my day. If i owned this Hardee's i would shut it down. The last 20 min. we were there a shrill alarm sound was going off and the 2 men were taking turns pushing the thing over their heads to make it stop and soon as they let go it...

There were a bunch of workers behind the counter talking very vulgar with quite a few customers in the dining area including a very young girl no older than 8 years old with her parents. They were talking very loudly about sex, and male and female genitalia among other very nasty topics. If I was the manager I would have fired each and every one of the staff on the spot and ran the store myself if I had to. They were acting just like hood rats. Only my opinion but just thought you would like to know. Not that you're going to do anything about it because this world is so messed up because of all these young people doing whatever they want with no consequences. This is not a great world anymore but what we need is some people to step up and help take this world back and make people have a little respect for other people. Fire everyone and start over.
