Olga's Naturally: California Kitchen — Restaurant in Lancaster

So my quest for a healthy lunch date took a weird turn today. I found this restaurant via Google, viewed their menu and was so excited because they also had vegan options. Sent the boyfriend because I was in a work training. Boyfriend excited because he’s also on a health journey. Boyfriend orders the vegan wild berry pancakes, and I went for a So Cal wrap. We set up a “backyard healthy lunch date”. How romantic right? Great weather today, healthy vibes, you get the mood? Pancakes were on point, but then I find a hair in my wrap. Major buzzkill. Boyfriend, being the hero, goes back to sort it out, but the cashier's all like, "You probably had that hair” and stated that they needed to see the hair. My boyfriend explains that I spat it out on the ground and explained that he only wanted a replacement wrap and no money back. Cashier calls owner. Owner tells my boyfriend to call health department smh and refused to give him a replacement or refund. My boyfriend feeling defeated calls me and of course Im complaining because what does that mean NO LUNCH AT ALL? Lol. Us girls love our food. Happy spouse, happy house. So I decide to go speak with cashier because I was the one who found the hair. I explain to cashier that this is wrong and Im a person of integrity and would not just complain to cause havoc. I just wanted a great lunch, but now would like a refund due to their customer service. Cashier still refused to give refund or replacement. Cashier calls owner and they threaten to call the cops! I say ok because I for sure knew I was not wrong whatsoever. I never thought I will be protesting for food…healthy food at that? Hmm maybe for a carne asada burrito. Lol but anyway here we are! Cops show up, talk sense, and finally, they cave for a refund and finally cashier offers to make a replacement. I do not want the replacement now sir. Why the unnecessary drama over a $12 wrap? The manager then ask the officers if they can make a report that they gave us a refund and also can we not come back to their restaurant again. Who would want to come back? All of this was ridiculous and it ruined our healthy lil backyard boogie lunch date. Now back to work we go. But overall, glad I got my money back. Thank you AV officers! It took 40 minutes for them to tell me the waffle maker was broken, although I was the only order/customer waiting. I then asked for the french toast instead. It came out 10 minutes later still raw inside, like mushy, soaked, uncooked bread. I brought it back to the counter to ask it be cooked more, and instead of doing that, the cook came out and tried to mansplain me that's what french toast is supposed to be like, as though I don't already know LOL. He refused to cook it more and said I could only get a refund. They then would only give me the refund in cash, although I paid with a card, and I said I didn't want cash. But they wouldn't give me food, so I really didn't have a choice! I left after an hour without having had a meal. The guy that took my order was super nice I waited about 25 minutes for the food I was very excited to try their vegan quesadilla as a vegan but was met with nothing but disappointment I don't know if my food was spoiled or what went wrong but the food had an extremely odd glue/plastic like flavor whoever the cook/owner is needs to do some research on vegan food or actually use fresh products because every single thing from the black beans to the veggies had the same glue like flavor I'm not even sure how food can taste this way I wouldn't recommend this place if your a vegan if I could give the food -0 I would it was truly horrible and a...
