Right when we walked in we were told where to sit, but what was surprising is that we were waiting for about 10 minutes just to get a menu. Every single restaurant we've been to gives us a menu as soon as we sit down. This restaurant is the first that took a long time for the menu. The forks that were given were not washed properly, you can still see and feel the food on it, at the same time it was still wet. The cream cheese gyoza and the crunchy dragon sushi was lacking flavor. Then to top it off the chicken teriyaki dish i got was way too salty, the rice and the chicken was literally drowning in teriyaki sauce. I added a picture of the chicken drowning in teriyaki sauce, unfortunately its not really showing the actual details of how it really looks. I had to eat some of my husband's white rice to eat the chicken with since the rice in my bowl was drowning in teriyaki. The bulgogi my husband ordered was salty. The waiter was nice so that's why I gave 2 stars, otherwise i wouldve given 0 if i could. We were super hungry for dinner then to get food like that was very disappointing. Want to taste good legit sushi go to areas such as Santa Clarita, glendale, burbank, San...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here for the 3 of us, ordered 3 rolls, an appetizer, and a dinner special. Food took longer than usual for them not being busy. The dinner, app, and 1 roll came out. The other 2 rolls didn't come out at exactly 20 minutes later after following up twice on it. I politely asked for the bill and explained how we couldn't really start eating and enjoying it because not everyone received their food yet. I waved down the head chef and explained. He then apologized and said don't worry about paying for the last 2 rolls. A few minutes later the co-owner came and apologized as well and said she identified the problem, and this shouldn't have happened especially when they are not busy. She kept apologizing and offered us tempura ice cream, we kept denying it and was thankful but she insisted and brought it out. It sucks that this happened on our first time here but I appreciate that they were trying to make it right that's why I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur fav sushi place in the AV for sushi. The service is much better at the local chain place. Iām super picky as I typically prefer going to the beach or LA for excellent sushi. Their best guy (Mitchell?) is only there 2 nights a week... I think Monday is one of those..heās great at impromptu ideas and has excellent customer service. The others are completely lacking. Last night it was barely busy (we went early to avoid the crowds) they had 3 at the sushi bar and 7 to serve. Never an offer of help or request to serve we had to call and wave for their attention. And we asked 3 times for our check and finally on the 4th time I walked over to the cashier and asked and after fumbling around she finally discovered it was at the sushi bar... they never handed it to us. We typically tip 30-45% and last night they got 12%. The Lobster Alfredo is one of our favs and they do the best spicy hand roll...
