Taco Bell — Restaurant in Lansing

Let me say this about this store and what is currently happening to them from what I could see through the lens of someone (myself) who’s worked in the food/service industry for 20+ years.

One, I’d like to say they’ve been a great store for as long as I can remember and still are, however, currently (after talking to the M.O.D. last night with me being a grubhub driver) they are completely overwhelmed, understaffed and low on product due to the vast amount of 3rd party delivery service orders (grubhub, doordash etc). Not only that, but also just the regular customers pulling through to grab some quick food.

Many people quit their job when covid hit and this store is essentially running with 2-3 employees on duty and they’re STILL VERY patient and kind considering all of the challenges up against them. If you are a DOORDASH OR GRUBHUB EMPLOYEE, and you get an offer from this store, I would “decline it” for the stores personal benefit (until further notice) because all they can do is their best with what they have, and they do!

Just know, that if you are going to dine hear, expect to wait, be patient, and try to be kind towards the staff here because it’s completely out of their hands at this point! An employee asked me to try to spread the word about this so that is what I’m doing!

Hopefully I’m not making the store look bad, because I know they’re trying! Good luck to you guys at the South Cedar store! As for the customers….it’s one of those situations where “it is what it is” so…be patient with the employees here! Give them time to get back on their feet before you fly off the handle because they are incapable of giving the kind of service this store is normally known to do! Thank you for reading!

Just trust the reviews and the 1.2 stars that this place has on Yelp. Avoid it. There are probably three other Taco Bell's within a couple of miles, I'd very much recommend avoiding this one and going to a different one.

Their management it terrible. Their employees are a bunch of lying teenagers who look stoned out of their mind. I placed an online order, they got 5/6 items wrong and the other one was cold. When I returned for a refund they said they can't refund orders, told me I was belligerent and threatened to call the police because I was "holding up their drive through times". So basically they stole my money, refused to provide me with what I paid for and called the police on me for wanting to receive what I paid for. I watched one dude (who was supposedly the second highest up of the three managers there) wipe his nose, adjust his septum piercing with his gloves and continue making food. The average age of their employees seems to be about 14 with the education of a 6 year old (the manager told me they were the #1 Taco Bell in the country of Michigan and #1 in the states of the United States - whatever that means). Both employees who I talked to looked like they were high as could be and one could hardly form sentences.

I've already opened multiple cases with Taco Bell corporate about this place and would highly recommend anybody else who has been here...

Just recently I got off of work at 3am, after a 12hour shift, I'm hungry. Taco Bell is the only thing open. So, I pull up and looked at the drive thru times on the door - (5am). I see 2 workers inside, African American male and African American female. I pull up the the mic, wait.... Wait... And wait... For a good 5min. I decide to drive up to the window where I saw them and get their attention. The male looked at me, than turned around and walked out of my vision. I decide to knock on the drive thru window (hard enough to hear in the whole facility). Still nobody. I pull around to the front, trying to get a video of the 2 individuals. In which, I was successful! They were both just standing there, doing absolutely nothing! THE FEMALE EVEN HAD ON THE MIC FOR THE DRIVE THRU! I blare my horn to try to get them to look at me - mostly to get them on video - but also hoping they'd take my order. So, after blaring my horn - both individuals look - on camera and all. I of course go back to the drive thru to give them a piece of my mind. After ACTUALLY working all evening/night, I don't much appreciate lazy no good workers. I intend to bring the footage to the store in hopes that the individuals will get fired! AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT SLOW SERVICE OR IN MY...
