I've been a customer of El Oasis for more than a decade. About ten years ago, I would have said that they have the best "authentic" style Mexican food in town, hands down.
Now, El Oasis is still pretty good, but it's not great like it used to be. Their prices have gone up and the size of the portions have gone down. The consistency has gone down a bit as well.
El Oasis remains a serviceable, slightly-better-than-average option for tacos, burritos, tortas and the like. A wide variety of meats are available, from standards like shredded beef and chicken to less-than-usual options like lengua and barbacoa.
At bottom, El Oasis is just ok. There are better options...

When I returned in 15 minutes they had given my order to someone else. Then I guess they had to review the camera to see if I was telling the truth about if I placed the order before and if I paid. So I had to wait additional time when I was in a hurry. I did get my food I didn't have to pay again so I guess all is well that ends well. They should really take names on the orders so that they could prevent stuff like that...

All hot/mild salsa in 2oz cups fine if you don't order a large chips and salsa! That was 3.75 for a sandwiches size ziplock bag 3/4 full of chips and 4 sauses. PERIOD!!!
