McDonald's — Restaurant in Lapeer

This is my go-to McDonald's. The food is always fresh. I've only had one mistake. I received a Diet Coke instead of a regular Coke. I pulled into parking pick up and called the manager was very nice ask me what spot I was in and said someone will be out shortly and apologized.

The employee that came out to give me my Coke was very nice he kept his distance had a mask on and said I'm sorry stay safe. I told him the same I appreciate that they practice the Covid distancing!!

I was also in line a week before that it was very busy lunch time. My sister who was my best friend passed away 2 months (Not from Covid) ago we talked every day. I have Chiari and had my Brain Surgery almost a year ago. I went to pick up the phone to call her to check on her and tell her I'm finally driving again and about our other sister's birthday and it hit me again that she was gone..my grief...they were busy and I just sat there with my hands over my face crying as I was waiting in line.

I went to go pay for my breakfast she said it's already been taken care of and then of course I cried some more..it touched my heart so much💜 In the world with such uncertainty this kind stranger that did not know me except to see me crying in my car..at that moment made me feel like I was not alone and like my sister was saying I'm watching over you.

I added my story of what happened 1- because it touched my heart in a time I needed it. 2-so other's know that there are still kind caring individuals out there... and if you can pay it forward please do because for me it absolutely meant the world at a time when I was grieving it made my heart overfilled with love thank you...

One of my biggest complaints. They forget to put your sandwich in the bag. It’s like it’s no big deal!! Well, when you are hungry and your person comes home with their full meal and you got fries wtf. It is a big deal!! I didn’t want a sandwich the next time I come in!! And then when you get there to pick up the sandwich, someone is screaming in the background only replace what they didn’t get. What about my going hungry? What about my time? What about my gas!! There needs to be some laws made about this!! When they do not give you your food, they are stealing money! And making you come back to get your food they are taking even more. Perhaps your money back along with a $5.00 fee for theft!! Like the UScan law!

Old review below: It isnt enough to overcharge your customers and mess up their orders constantly...now they only offer wilted brown lettuce is all thats in the side salad. No tomatos...just wilted...

I went here about 2 weeks ago and ordered my 3 year old son and I some nuggets and fries to share. We got home and my large fry was not in the bag. I called and the manager offered to replace the fries if I came back up. We were already home and if I would have went back for fries the rest of our food would have been cold. So he offered to send me something in the mail. I declined so he said the next time I came in I could tell them my name and he would have a coupon for a free large fry and 2 desserts. Well I went in today and they acted like I was lying telling me they don't do that. Not only did I pay my money for food I didn't get but I was completely embarrassed and made to feel as though I was lying and we definitely didn't get a dessert. Check your items before you pull off!
