I don't get it. Is it fast food or fine dining or pub food? Seems like it can't decide. Upon entering we thought it was a place your order at the counter and then wait. The hostess explained( before we even said a word) it is a sit down restaurant with an Mediterranean buffet option....um ok. We felt like fools standing and staring up reading the buffet directions as the hostess put our menus on a table for us. They need to put all the wording for the buffet and how it works ( and maybe some food descriptions) on the menu and take down the " carryout looking " signage.
The food was ok but slow from the kitchen. We opted for an appetizer, burger and gyro. Presented nicely. Our waitress, never told us her name, was great and very friendly.
Felt odd to order a high end meal in this kind of environment... Too bright, felt like we were dining in a cafeteria. Get rid of the ceiling lights and hang a few more glass pendant lamps. Pretty stark as well. Need to add some greenery or funky wall decor. Hoping its just because they're new. Of course the proverbial tvs are on the wall. Can't anyone just eat and converse anymore?? I don't like to put my utensils on a bare tabletop, especially with covid so how about some cheap brown paper as a fun yet disposable option? Kinda works with the Mediterranean vibe and color decor.
We'll probably give it a month or so to find its footing and will try it again but for the price, there's ...
Read moreWe for our first carryout. It would have been better if we ate in bc we live about 25 minutes away. But it was still good. Our food was right. We received all our condiments. We're really excited to go again. We already lots of items to try and excited to hear they are adding a favorite of mine. BLT sandwiches! They also support local and do a lot for our schools! WE LOVE MADDIE!!! 💜💜
EDIT: Our first 20 or so visits were GREAT! But then they started to have a turn around with employees. I was served old ice tea. My order was served over done on 3 occasions. Definitely different types of service depending on what server you get. And differently cooked food depending on the cook. One thing I know about a restaurant is consistency is very important. Unfortunately they are dropping ball. This is an amazing business in our community. I did bring the issues to the attention to the restaurant. But my order was over cooked again the next time I went in. And i don't have money to waste on food that might be over cooked. Definitely not the same as when I first started to visit this place. It's very disappointing. I still recommend trying them out though. What you order may come a lot better then my favorite meals from here. They have a lot of amazing food choices. And offer kids eat free ALL THE TIME. they also do not use seed oils! And support other local business and get ingredients from...
Read moreFirst time in. My husband and I were walking to the front door and greeted by some irate customers complaining about long wait times (it was Sunday at lunch, around 1pm, usually a busy time for most restaurants). The way both them talked and acted, they made it seem as if they were unable to get service. Ive worked in the service industry for a long time so I was interested to continue inside. We were greeted as expected with a busy restaurant but were sat immediately (accidentally at the peoples table who had just walked out). Our server came over and greeted us and quickly realized that the table had walked out. Thankfully we were not in a hurry as we were waiting on someone to join us while our server went to handle a situation away from us. We later found out about more of the situation that had transgressed before we were seated. I unfortunately can’t remember her name but she had glasses and dark hair. She was incredibly attentive and funny, food came out pretty fast for a completely busy restaurant on Sunday. I tipped her on our bill and I wasn’t sure if the previous patrons had paid or tipped but in any case, I left her the same tip I left for our bill incase they decided not to tip her. We enjoyed it all and hope she especially had a good rest...
