Very bad service and courteousness towards customers. I ordered a 1 menudo and 2 barbacoa tacos. When I got home I saw that one of the tacos was a bean and cheese. I called them, and they said to take it back and they would replace the taco, but in a tone of not being happy about it. I went and immediately they told me the kitchen was closed and that they could’nt replace it, so I just told them that I needed a refund then, so they did refund me, but refunded only what the barbacoa taco was worth without including the tax that was charged for it. In my personal opinion the least they can do, first, be courteous and apologetic. also, it’s not because I want free stuff, but any good establishment compliments part of the food for the mistake, since the customer again has to waste time and gas to take the food back, either for an exchange or refund. The menu displayed a selection of their daily lunch specials. I ordered the tacos dorados c/ carne with guacamole sauce that was dripping with pure goodness. But first, I was served a delectable caldo de verdura soup. I could taste the carrots and other fresh veggies. I enjoyed every single bite of this exquisite freshly made meal.
They were busy as it was expected during lunch hours, but they managed to meet all of the stupid demands from customers (like the table in front of me w/ 3 kids). It's disheartening that some people will give a one-star rating for the wait time.
I hope to return to Laredo soon. This will be a must-visit for lunch, dinner...
Read moreMediocre place for breakfast. Nothing special. We did enjoy the homemade flour and corn tortillas. The coffee tasted burnt and the chicharrón tacos were not spicy at all. No flavor. The chorizo they sell here lacks spice. It's not that good. The menudo was OK. I did enjoy the chilaquiles and the pancakes were fluffy and good. Weird that they sell them, but they weren't on the menu. Overall just an OK place to have breakfast and very affordable. 7 of us in our party and we paid $50....
