Great mexican fine dining experience. If you're looking for a place to have a nice and fancy dinner with great cocktails, this is the right spot. To start, we got the "Ostiones Rasurados" that come with some serrano peppers and onion salsa, they were very fresh. As main dish, we got the "Rib eye with bone marrow al piquin", we asked for the rib eye to be cooked medium rare but unfortunately they brought it fully cooked which made the meat to taste a little dry, however, the flavor itself was pretty good tho, it also came with asparagus nicely cooked, some Charro beans which was pretty good as well. Additionally, we got the Grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor too, it came with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes (this last one was just plain good, nothing outstanding). To drink we got a few cocktails, one was the Gin Pink, which I loved, my partner got a couple of Mezcal cocktails (can't recall the name) and both were pretty good. Finally we got a Carajillo that was extremely good, we loved to have it after our dinner. The service was good, a little slow but might be because the place was pretty crowded. Prices are high but the quality and quantity you get for what you pay is definitely good. We'll definitely come back to try out more dishes...
Read moreThe good: Nice and fancy looking place.
The bad: Food is bland and pricey. Drink menu is incorrect and weak.
Went to try out a local spot nearby and landed here. The server was decent. I ordered half a dozen oysters and the Wagyu Skirt Steak along with a dirty martini and margarita. I asked for the Wagyu medium, but when it came it was served on a hot skillet. What was the point of asking for my steak done medium if you are going to serve it to me still cooking on a hot skillet that will turn my medium steak into well done!? The drink menu is completely incorrect, for example, their old fashions have soda water. Soda water does not belong on an old fashion cocktail, and there are many more drinks that have the incorrect ingredients. Whoever is responsible for the cocktail menu had no idea what the cocktails contain.
In regards to the food, everything was pricey and not worth it. The most flavorful thing I had was a double Jack Daniels and Coke.
Feel free to go to this place if you wanna flex your finances and want to take nice pictures, but you will leave disappointed with the quality and taste...
Read moreThis place is not what it used to be. They stopped paying attention to detail. Went last week and attempted a “date night” with my wife here and it just didn’t have the spark it used to.
The tostadas they bring to you before you order were stale, asked for them to be replaced and instead of receiving fresh, warm, tostadas, we yet again received cold stale ones.
The salsas that accommodate the tostadas also lost flavor, there’s a “quemada” one that just tasted like burnt tomatoes, a green one that tasted like garlic, and a light red one that is practically just tomato concentrate.
Menus need to be updated properly, as most had stickers with new prices (more expensive) and when we ordered our “molcajete” we were charged $10 more than what was stated on the menu and all the waiter could say is that the menu was missing the little squared sticker showing the new price.
I always had to call on our waiter for refills, and finally the check. Tables were sticky, restroom was dirty, won’t be going back any time soon.
This was on a Thursday at...
