20190119 - I am back for another visit to Laredo and stop here tonight. Let's hope that the service is beter than it was last year. I went in to use the bathroom and both of them were completely out of toilet paper. So, the star level remains at one. I really am not a hard person to get along with, but when I come in to a restaurant, I expect the personnel to be professional, especially if I spend as much money as they charge for their food and drink here.
20180118 - Today, the star level dropped from a four-star to a one-star. Why? I came in as I have been doing each morning since arriving in Laredo, to purchase a cup of coffee. The clerk (i purposely do not call him a barista, because of what happens next) who is busy taking the garbage out of the can, leaves what he is doing, walks to the counter and asks me what I would like. I tell him that I would like my personal cup filled with coffee. He reaches out for my cup but I do not give it to him. Instead, I ask him, "Are you going to wash your hands, you have been handling garbage?" He asks me "You don't want me to touch your cup?" I reply, "Yes, isn't that what you are supposed to do, wash your hands after handling garbage?" He leaves to wash his hands and then returns to get my coffee.
This has brought a serious concern to my mine as to the cleanliness practices of this entire location. If one of the clerks has not been trained to be cognizant of good hygiene, which I know is the standard for the Starbucks company, who know what else could be lacking at this location.

Read moreReview for 11/27/24: since I couldn’t do a new review I’m adding on to the original. Apparently five years later makes no difference in the speed of service. Placed order on app, cake pop and cold brew. I get down because app tracker says it’s a minute to be ready. I go stand and wait and despite there been g 6 employees working, the barista tells me she’s running at least ten minutes behind so I’m welcome to sit. I ask for refund since I’ve an appointment to get to and she says because I ordered through app I have to call 1800 number. The manager says he can help me and he racks his head at the amount and then realizes I got the cake pop as well. Well he refunded the cold brew but semantics… because he had asked “oh you got the cake pop” and I’m understanding as I ordered because obviously nothing is on my hands he understood as I did receive (is my best guess). When I tried paying at another location, I didn’t have the full refund. Rawr.

Read moreI’m very disappointed to put this review because I love this location but today was a different story. I ordered a Matcha drink and whenever I received my drink it it was very un mixed and bitter, so I called and requested to have the drink remade, and they agreed, but whenever I went back to the Starbucks, they gave me my drink and I was very appreciative but it was somehow worse, and it seemed that it was made to be bad on purpose. After I received my drink I was asked, “ Do you wanna try it and make sure it’s good now?” and when I said it was fine and said thank you, I was met with the window shut in my face. I mixed half of the new drink with milk and it was alright but I am very disappointed because I really do love this Starbucks location and I haven’t had any issues before, but this was unexpected.
