Walked in stood by the hostess podium like it felt like forever meanwhile all the employees just stared and wouldn't approach. Finally a server came over and said to sit anywhere. Our server had 2 other tables and his attention was completely focused on those tables. He must've judged us by the way we were dressed down. I only tipped you because of Karma. You definitely did not deserve a $37.19 tip! I handed you $100 bill and said keep the change. Because I knew the other tables that you were giving exceptional service to more than likely may have left you $5 or exact change. Had to waive the server down multiple times for drink refills and our check and to go box. Might want to look into getting an hourly job since the service you provide is not very good! I definitely wish I spent my $50 elsewhere. I regret purchasing from here and should’ve sticked to my usual Posh Sushi but came to Sushi Madre because it was closer. The quality has definitely decreased (my mother buys plates from here often but I’m not a fan) and the serving sizes for take out are poor compared to dining in. If you spent $15 for a roll of 8 pieces then you expect each piece to have the ingredients listed. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case because I had two rolls with JUST RICE. I even showed the people working there and they brushed it off like it was nothing (that it has two tempura shrimps which are mostly breaded). I would’ve preferred higher quality sushi. Mother of Sushi. Every time we eat here we spend close to $60 bucks for two people. Now, honestly, if we weren't such fatties and shared a roll, it wouldn't be so much.

But the rolls are so good, especially the tempura rolls. Try the Hulk and La Loka.

I also recommend the poblano soup. On my last visit, I felt adventurous and tried the miso soup, which is supposed to be very salty so you can dip noodles into it, but they offered it as a side with the 🍣 sushi so I opted for that. It was too salty to be enjoyed on its own, so I shipped my sushi in it. That was not bad at all. However, I will certainly be going back to the poblano.
