Taco Mais — Restaurant in Laredo

Horrible experience. Arriving 40 mins before closing to the restaurant we were sat down by the waiter. Gave us the menu’s to order food accompanied by chips and the salsa. She was taking our order when some guy from the kitchen comes and interrupts me while ordering saying that his boss said that they weren’t taking orders anymore. I asked why, he said because they close the kitchen 30min before closing but that they still take orders through the phone. Having said that cashier or manager had yelled to the employees “ya no contesten el telefono!” So I asked the guy how long could they take for four tacos and a tostada he said probably about 5 mins so I asked him what the issue was from making the food for me. He then went back to the kitchen to ask the “boss” and that she said no because the kitchen was closed already. So I asked the guy why would they even sit us down bring us the chips and the menu’s of they were “closed” given that it was 40mins before closing. He excused himself saying that the waiter was new. The waiter was so ashamed and I’m assuming the “boss” got after her. I told her she had nothing to worry about that it wasn’t her fault. It was the managers fault for not properly training employees to close 40mins before closing!! NEVER GOING BACK...

My family and I went to this location hoping to get some warm food, and good customer service as we do at every other location, and but left disappointed. Not only was the food cold when they brought it and the waiter got the order wrong, but also, when she was notified about the missing food, she got upset and told us that she wrote down the order correctly while showing us the receipt. We then, just asked her to go ahead and write down the missing food, and again, she didn’t bring it, and got upset. I understand it was a really busy time, and she was the only one attending to other customers, but that doesn’t mean she had to be rude. They should definitely add at least a second waiter during peak hours to avoid situations like these. I’ve been to other locations, and never had...

I'll start of by saying, we were a party of 12 so I can understand the inconveniences that come with that. We waited about a little over an hour for our food. The last one to get their food was my aunt who ordered oatmeal and even then she had to send it back because it wasn't even cooked right (how do you mess that up??). My sister ordered her tacos with beans and the beans were missed. The waitress didn't seem too thrilled to be serving us. It wasn't the worst experience but all the little things add up to make us not so enthusiastic to eat...
