I took my family from California to try whataburger for the very first time at this location, i told the cashier about how they had this Ilusion that California had the best burgers and i was going to prove them wrong. The manager over heard and really went out of his way to make sure he delivered the best possible food, gave my mother in law a free apple pie and threw in what he thought was their best burger after we had already ordered. (His burger was everyone’s favorite too) i really tried leaving this review on whataburgers official website but i lost my receipt some time during our crazy trip. The food was absolutely amazing, but the way the manager and staff treated us was truly unreal. We’ve been to plenty of high end restaurants that aren’t as attentive as they were, he still approached us at the end of our meal and asked how we liked the food and chatted with us for a bit. They were without a doubt the highlight of the night. This review might be longer than it needs to be but I can’t stress enough how they made sure to show some Californians that Texas hospitality is a class of it’s own. Read moreRidiculous!! I visit this place often, but today was an example of bad customer service. I ordered the breakfast plate as I usually do. I waited for my meal but the attendant did not have the serving tray. As she was about to walk away, I told her I needed utensils. She pointed to the front of the counter and said, "they are over there." I was shocked. I told her that it's not the customers service to get his own utensils. She went to get the utensils then brought them to me. But, I did not have napkins. I asked for napkins. She looked at me (the customer) then walked away. I finally got up and got the napkins myself. It's not the employees fault but the GM Jose Peña for not training the employees. This serving tray issue was a problem before, but it only lasted for a few weeks then the problem started again. Read moreI used to work at whataburger in laredo back in the days, and we had good service, today i was shocked at our Texas proud whataburger,, i went inside cause the drive thru line was too long, 2 cashiers and they took my order quick, i served my drink and just as i was about to serve me my drink, i was given my strawberry milkshake, as i sat down and and not even a minute on my the waiting bench, i was about to check my emails and voicemails and some other stuff on my phone, my order was called out, i was OMG ,, that was quick , way too quick, not even back in the 2000's we were that quick,, now i have to go home and check my order bcus i dont like my wahataburgers without onions, lets see if they got it...
