Had to be in Las Vegas last weekend in Sept, and drove by this interesting cafe and bar on Grand Ave around lunch time. The weather was nice so we decided to dine outdoors. After we figured out how to order, had to go to counter in one building, and order drinks in the big auditorium, Buffalo Hall, and seat ourselves. I ordered the Cowboy burger, BBQ beef and bacon, and fries. The burger was very good, and the fries were crisp and seasoned well. My wife ordered a Frito Pie and Calabacitas. The Frito Pie had NO frito chips, but rather tortilla chips. Not as easy to eat as Fritos with a spoon. It looks more like a taco salad. Anyway, the seasoning on the chile was 'way more hot than we are accustomed. My wife only ate a couple of bites. We lived in Las Vegas 25 years, and Santa Fe for 40 years, so we know chile. The calabacitas had so much red chile flakes on it that I could not enjoy the taste of the squash and corn. You can see the red flakes in the photo. I only ate a couple of small bites. I recommend this cafe to those who like chile hot. The BBQ meats seems to be very good, and the bar had room for a couple of hundred guests.

A different kind of BBQ joint that doesn't know about portions. The beef brisket came with 3 various sized pieces which you know were just sitting in a tray warmer because the meat was dry and the pieces weren't even the lean portion! The beef ribs had the least amount of meat and was tough to chew. The meat was NOT fall off the bone. There is only one other BBQ place that's similar and just as unsatisfying and that place is "Dickey's" but they're cost is higher for the same winky portions. Average price for a small protein is roughly $14 plus an extra $6 - $8 for a side which the only items that accompany your protein is a "tiny roll" and a roasted jalapeno, which I liked more than the protein. And what's more disappointing is their sauce, nothing more to say about it, just at your table in a bucket. Only one choice nothing spicy or bold. Or if you're like me, go to the store and do it yourself and truly enjoy some real BBQ!

I had high hopes for this place because I love BBQ, but the food was below average for the price. I ordered the chicken wings, they were good but they dumped a giant pile of green onions on them it was just too much. And my husband ordered the fish sandwich, he said it was very dry. It was basically a piece of breaded fish in some bread. No sauce or condiments at all. Then when he went to ask for some he was in the middle of his sentence when the waitress just walked away without saying anything. The wait staff was rude and unfriendly, when we first walked in they were all seated and just stared at us, no greeting at all, and then when we paid they force you to tip before they even serve you. If we had known that based on how they served we wouldn't have tipped at all. They basically threw the food at us and never came to ask how it was, nothing. They never even bothered to smile at anyone there. I will never be returning!!

Went to watch a game on their TV last night and man oh man was I so uncomfortable. Hardly any room to sit comfortable, feels almost as if people are crammed next to each other. To go with that all you smell in that place is smoke, music blasting thru the speakers, and having to look up to watch a TV screen is so uncomfortable for the neck. All that gave me the worst headache I ever had in a long time. Not just that experience but when you go play pool the tables are too close to each other, people bumping into each other when making a shot. Also the food is way too damn expensive, not to mention their product shortages. Also when you apply for a job there they treat the job process like a bachelor, a job process that takes almost 3 weeks, hell they won't even call you if your not getting the job, furthermore I'm happy I didn't get hired there because it looks like the owners don't even take part in that kitchen or bar, instead I see them time to time just having a glass of whatever they drink and laughing with their buddies in the bar. All that to hear the ones they hire don't even stick around for more than a few months. For all the money that place makes it doesn't show in the environment. Hell they even charge you around $15-$30 a person just to go watch a local band that you can also go see for free in the plaza park the same summer and fall. Also some of the bartenders are rude. Finally I see a lot of tables don't get bussed for long periods of time. Buffalo Hall sucks. Period. Bad ownership. I've worked kitchens so I know what bad ownership looks like. Maybe use some of all that money y'all are making to improve the place, take part in the kitchen and bar, earn the respect of your employees, no one likes managers who...
