Okay. I understand that times are difficult and that it is hard to find employees and to lure customers into your business. But this is the more reason why you need to try harder than ever and this restaurant that has so much potential to be "the restaurant" to go, is falling a bit short. The horrible first thing is the nickel-diming. An example being that there are no coffee refills. My first cup of coffee was filled half full and then they charge me an extra $5 for the second cup of coffee which came in a dirty cup. She said that it was "because it's was made in a pot" Huh? Immediately you feel taken advantage of.
The next thing is the food. The food was not fresh. My fish sticks were frozen and fried and the presentation was pretty terrible. My neighbor's hamburger was literally thrown on a plate.
As far as the place itself, it has some cool art and ealls and stuff but it is hidden with the dim lighting and dark colors. The whole thing needs a paint job or at least a lot of pain touch-ups. The bar is a disaster. It should be neatly organized along all the shelves, so it looks amazing and expensive! Sells more drinks! There is clutter on the counters. There is flyers hanging on the glass of the entrance very distracting and looks terrible. From the outside, it looks closed. A lot of people parked and sent somebody in to see if they were opened. I couldn't quite tell if my waitress (I believe the owner) was being friendly or not. She was a little stern and direct an undertone of: "Are you here to eat or not?" But I understand! She is very stressed out owning a restaurant, however, that is what the business is about and she should adjust while serving her clients. There is no restaurant food on the menu. She said that everything is handheld. I think at a restaurant you should serve restaurant food and at a food truck you should sell food truck food. The lighting needs to brighter. The tables need to be all the same height, maybe add checker tablecloths to liven it all up - it is is kind of dark. And lastly, the sugar in my coffee. I think I should be able to have a sugar dispenser instead of the ration that they bring you in a little cup so you don't use too much or steel the dispenser. Things like that are the cost of doing business and you have to get on the bus accepting the consequences as they come, good or bad. I don't mean this review to be mean or a critique to ruin anyone's life - I hope it helps you to step it up, sometimes we get so used to our surroundings we need a different perspective.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS: -Get rid of ATM or put by restrooms -Menu in the middle turned four clients away in 40 minutes - once sitting, leaving is harder -Music more down people's mid taste. Most people there were 80's 90's people. -No banners outside! -Sign upgrade - white letters. I know you wanna be all "pubby" - no. Stop. -Maybe some flowers hanging drom building or planters by entrance -Patios...
Read moreTraveling from Colorado to Arizona we stopped here for lunch. We had checked out the other offerings in Las Vegas and this menu sounded amazing. What was amazing was the fantastic service and the decor. I am a fan of local & folk art and my Aunt (who is disabled and wasn't traveling with us) is a huge fan of that genre. I took lots of photos to show her on our return. Everywhere you turn there is some new surprise awaiting you both inside and out.
Both ladies working that day, I am sorry I don't remember their names, we so positive and service oriented. Being in the industry myself for my whole life I completely appreciate that. Thank you.
The menu read incredible but had some hits and misses. My partner had the grilled cheeseburger with fries. Fries were fresh and well done as was the cheeseburger. I order the green chili pork burrito. Sadly mine wasn't as good. I'm guessing they reheat the pork on a flat top and it was left way too long. About a third of the pork filling was bitter and super charred. What wasn't was pretty good but definitely on the dry side. Another misstep on this item was the inclusion of plain jane white rice in the burrito. It added nothing to the burrito except filling and watered down the other items. Not worth sending back and the servers were so nice I didn't want to ruin their day by complaining so I pulled out the burnt parts and ate half of it. The salsa they brought me however was bomb. I dumped it all over the plain rice and it definitely helped.
Last we grabbed a couple GIANT rice crispy treats for the road. Yum.
In conclusion I'd say go. my burrito wasn't everything I'd ever dreamed of but I am sure if I'd said something they would have bent over backwards to make it right so its on me for not saying anything. So if you are in Las Vegas, NM....GO. They also have some cool merchandising for sale. I didn't grab a shirt while I was there but will probably order my partner and Aunt one each...
Read moreFirst and ONLY time stopping at this dirty sadistic place. Upon arrival, no one greeted us or explained how it worked. The tables were dirty and sticky. The food was bland and not worth it. The bathrooms were disgusting, the womens bathroom had broken glass & blood on the floor. No one ever came to check on us at the table the whole time. One of the workers brought mixed drinks on accident and took them back after we had already drank them, and we watched her add more liquor and serve them to the next table. The fish and chips were gross they tasted like they had been frozen. The tacos that are $5 each had little to no meat, just a bunch of cabbage. To top off our horrendous experience, we forgot to grab our 2 year olds new shoes they just got on vacation ( This was their first time wearing them ) got stolen by one of the workers! We went back for them and they were closed. We called them for 2 days in a row (left voicemails) and when they would answer they would hang up right away. Finally get through and talk to someone to say they didn't see anything and get hung up on.
To take from a kid and lie about it is just not right!! We hope your kid enjoys the shoes! We would of been more than willing to contribute to your kiddo getting their own.. We will NEVER BE BACK OR...
