Weโve been visiting this coffee shop in Las Vegas, NM, for the past six months since we moved here. Our first five visits were pleasantโthe staff was friendly, and we enjoyed coming back.
Unfortunately, our visit on January 2, 2025, completely changed our perception. An employee (or possibly the owner) approached us rudely, telling us to take our feet off their furniture. While the request itself wasnโt unreasonable, the tone and attitude were unnecessary and unprofessional.
Itโs clear that this business could benefit greatly from customer service training or a management course. One rude interaction can undo months of goodwill, and unfortunately, thatโs exactly what happened here.
We will no longer support this coffee shop. Businesses need to understand that their success relies on consistent, respectful customer interactions, and one personโs attitude can drive loyal customers away. We hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect and improve.
What a great way to welcome your customers for 2025! ๐
EDIT:
Thank you for your response, but I find it disappointing and inaccurate. There was no โgentle and respectfulโ requestโyour staff member (or possibly the owner) was rude from the start, which is why we immediately left after the interaction. There was no second request or escalation on our end; we simply chose to take our business elsewhere after being treated unprofessionally.
Instead of addressing the concern sincerely, your response comes across as dismissive and attempts to discredit my experience. I still stand by what I saidโyour business would greatly benefit from customer service and management training.
Businesses thrive on accountability, and I hope you reflect on how interactions like this impact customer relationships. Wishing you the best...

The Judge Leahy is my absolute favorite. My only big thing with their drinks is consistency. No two baristas make it the same. Some make it more sweet, others more bitterโ some add the orange zest, the others donโt.
The atmosphere is great! Itโs a quiet little place away from the hustle and bustleโ thereโs a few sweet cats hangings around that will lay on the back of your chair. Itโs a really relaxing atmosphere. Theyโre open late which is great seeing how most other coffee places close very early.
My only other problem is the price of not their drinks, but their food. I came in with my niece who picked up a sandwich (that is conveniently not priced) and placed it on the counter.
It was $20โ whichโฆ come on now. Thatโs probably the reason they donโt price them like they do the drinks. I just think itโs...
ย ย ย Read moreI fortunately to the time to jump on the Net and looked up coffee houses and cafes in Las Vegas. I found Dichos in the Hotel Fidel and stopped in. Las Vegas, for all its fame and coolness, has no stand-alone coffee houses, not even a Starbucks. Blah. Who cares about all the great food and historic buildings if I cannot get a decent cup of Java?
The Hotel Fidel felt a bit like the "Shining" hotel. Empty, quiet, deserted.....Only one person was in the lobby and she was the server at Dichos. No one was at the hotel front desk for the 15 minutes I was there except a house cat that cooly walked down the stairs and across the lobby floor. I booked a room with the cat.
The young lady who took my order and made my Breve Latte was very friendly and made a great cup for me to take on the road to Raton. Las Vegas - what's up? Don't any of you long-term residents love great coffee and the atmosphere of an espresso cafe? Must be a decaf...
