I have been going to Mr D's for a couple of years 2 or 3 times a month, mostly on Sunday evenings. We usually aren't there for the games. We talk business taxes all sorts of things. Over the last 6 months, our favorite server is no longer there. This has caused a revolving door of new servers. Over the last month or so, the Sunday evening server has decided to only be a bartender.
We walked in at 615, at 635, after multiple attempts to get her attention. She finally came by our table. A 4 top with 2 empty chairs. She plops herself in an empty chair, throws her feet into the remaining empty seat, and says, "Are you guys waiting for me?" We asked for a pitcher of beer, 2 mugs and menus. She responded with, "I don't do that. If you want something, you have to come up to MY BAR and order it." we turned and left.
The football game had about 8 minutes remaining when we arrived, and most of the other patrons had most likely been there for a couple of hours. We experienced that same kind of lazy, disrespectful, and rude behavior from her over our last couple of trips. We were planning to get together with about 10 others for the Superbowl. We will now be looking for another location. We don't plan on returning, but if we do and she is there, we will leave.
I am looking to get the word out that this is a terrible person working Sunday evenings. I think the worst part is that her shift was less than half over, and the attitude, no doubt, continued. Stars are based on previous experience
Update. After communicating via email, the response was that the server was playing a joke and had her behavior discussed with management. Apologized for the long wait but not for...
Read moreThe young attractive female bartender and waitress were wearing nothing more than a g-string, which is enough to make you notice them very quickly. I loved that! However, at least in the case of the bartender, that does not mean that they will notice you anytime soon. On my visit, I sat at the bar and waited for an inordinate amount of time before the bartender asked me what I wanted. Keep in mind that she walked right past me several times and even made eye contact more than once and that there were less than ten people sitting at the bar. Even after I ordered a drink the bartender made several drinks for others at the bar and for the cocktail waitress, but not for me. Unfortunately, even when she did, eventually return, she had to ask "So, what was it you wanted again?" In order for a bartender to circle around a small square bar with less than ten people seated and fail to notice when a new person sits down or not notice the person who has not been helped (HINT: It's usually the person who has no empty glasses or bottles in front of them.) that person has to have no sense of situational awareness. I'd have been better off sitting at a table and ordering from the cocktail waitress because she was on the spot and the bartender made drinks that she ordered first even though I ordered at the bar...
Read moreIt's a dive bar. Not much to expect other than being a dive bar. Was drawn in here from a friend who posted a video about the steak. Opted for the chicken fingers because of a suggestion by the guy sitting next to me...that were ok, kind of stubby and small for 10 dollars. And they give a super small side of ranch. I was literally scraping the lid of the mini cup to try to have enough for the last bite. The server pushed fries. I wish I knew fries were 5 bucks because they were the bottom of the barrel. All little cigarette butt sized pieces. The chicken fingers were not frozen and not bad tasting but just small. Really skimpy portions. Plus a beer all for 22 bucks? And the server basically ignored me. Even when I asked for the check, I was just sitting there waiting as I watched her find something else to do and even started to walk away when she seemed to realize I was sitting there waiting. Kind of a bummer. I didn't even know it was a bikini bar but it wasn't really like it mattered. I would rather go to sand dollar that at least has entertainment. I mean, I caught myself looking at the server standing there but then realized 3 guys behind the bar watching my every move....
