It was okay. They had huge portions, unhealthy portions that should've been largely decreased. I looked at the menu and got something from the kids' menu instead because of how extra the food was. It had all this "stuff" on it. My friend ordered something else. Sage o chicken salad with biscuit. When it came there was a stick of sage on the plate and a lot of other items sprinkled on the food. I reached over, and I tried the asparagus, I honestly felt it tasted like a combination of horse radish and other things. It was so distasteful. I had order a burger and fries, may I remind, from the kids' menu. The patty didn't fit on the bun and it was much too big for a child. The fries were portioned to the burger and although there wasn't anything "weird" or gross on my burger, I couldn't help but look around at the other dishes and how they had so many miscellaneous items. I agree that people need veggies, but not to the point where they grabbed a bunch of items and threw them onto the food. The portions where sized to where you could share with four people and I found it very disconcerting that McDonald's could actually have better portion sizes than a "farm-fresh" restaurant. I decided to see what the dessert would be like afterwards. It was three pieces of "bread", a scoop of ice cream, and hot fudge on the side. It was listed as sharable for two, but I could've eaten with at the very least four people. I had been making fun of the food as we waited for our's, looking at the huge portions with added "things" all over the plate. Some dished didn't even make sense. I won't be returning, but if I happened to, I'd probably still go for the kids meal, the only menu that...
Read moreIf Chicken and Waffles are your thing...first we called from the road and asked how long a wait and was told 10 minutes and five minutes later we got there and the wait was now 25 minutes. We asked the employee outside after about 15 minutes how much longer and the reply was you've only waited 18 of the 25 minutes. Well we were seated shortly after and it's a novel atmosphere and they were packed. Once seated one of us ordered the Caramel All Over Mocha which was very good. For 8 bucks it should be. Now I ordered the Griddled French Toast with bacon and Hash Browns. The french toast was very tasty and the roasted bananas were awesome. The bacon was as good as I've had but the hash browns appeared pre-cooked and reheated had little taste. Two had chicken and waffles which both said were good and filling. Our last member of our party ordered the Andy's Sage Fried Chicken Benedict expecting eggs benedict. There was a forkful of eggs and a great deal of bread and mashed potatoes with chicken covered in a chipotle sauce which tasted good but was on everything and overwhelmed the plate. She had two bites, looked for the eggs and did not attempt further. We didn't see our waitress till it was time to get the check so had a coffee refill as we were leaving and asked about a plate of eggs benedict with no eggs and only offered to box it to take it home which was pointless. Looking at the menu this is by no means a cheap, breakfast experience. For the price I expected better service and fresh food even the sides. Then again if you like a heavy meal of chicken and waffles this may be for you but it doesn't explain the service or the top...
Read moreVery disappointing experience on what should’ve been a special day. We came in on a Tuesday morning after finalizing the adoption of our three daughters, ready to celebrate over brunch. Everyone was in high spirits, and the menu looked great. Unfortunately, the service left us frustrated and disheartened.
From the start, the woman we believed to be the manager seemed annoyed to be taking our orders. We were a larger group with children, which can be a lot, but we had called ahead a couple hours to make sure the staff was prepared. It seemed like our assigned server was either new or running very late, as we barely saw anyone checking in on our table.
To her credit, the manager did comp two of our three appetizers when they were brought out, which we appreciated. But the rest of the experience was filled with mistakes and long gaps in service. Our toddler’s chocolate chip pancake was completely forgotten and only brought out at the very end, without any chocolate chips. She was hungry and upset by that point.
I ordered the non-spicy chicken eggs Benedict but received dry biscuits, spicy chicken, and scrambled eggs, which was not at all what I expected—I would have said something but I didn’t want to further burden the staff and was just happy to have food finally. Creamer for my coffee took half the meal to arrive, even though I had asked for it when ordering. The kids’ drinks were gone well before the food came out, and refills didn’t come until they were nearly finished eating.
We wanted this to be a joyful, memorable meal to mark a milestone for our family. Sadly, it ended up being memorable for all the...
