The first time I went their with my family all I got was stares like I was an alien from outer space, and when I ordered I made sure the waitress repeated back my order and then as the food came out everyone got their food BUT ME! Then the waitress tells me I never gave my order like I have 4 witnesses that saw me order. I let it go and still Gave a good tip, Second time I came to this location with my family AGAIN I got nasty stares from the 2 young women working the front, one of them came up to give us menus and when we asked for a highchair for our baby she never came back, my sister had to walk up herself and go move plates out of her way just to reach it and the girl just sits there and watches! Then another older woman comes up to take our order because the young woman refused to come back to take our order. I love the food here but because I am a different race I shouldn't be treated like I don't belong somewhere, This place needs to treat people with respect no matter what race they are it's 2023...
Read moreLike other reviewers, I also found the food to be tasty yet small portion compared to price paid. I chose to try the meat plate called Embocellado or something like that. Along with that came the choice of 2 sides. I decided to try the yucca fries and Peruvian beans. There were only 4 fries, each about 2.5 inches long. They tasted okay, but really? Only 4 tiny fries? I was told by the waitress that the beans contained bacon and were really good. Well, they tasted just like regular pinto beans and I didn't see or taste bacon. The meat was flavored and cooked tastily, but the amount of onions and tomatoes that came with it were negligible. It almost seemed like they were running low on the veggies in the kitchen so only a couple slices were given. Overall the food was good, service was a tad better than okay, portion size was wanting (I went home and ate more food because I was still hungry), and I wouldn't choose that dish again because the price paid was too much for the...
Read moreIf you have read any of my other reviews you will know that we are regular connoisseurs of Peruvian food (my husband is from Lima). The only reason this restaurant was able to garner a three star review was because their green sauce and papa sauce raised them from a two to a three. They do a great job on their sauces! We ordered Lomo Saltado, Tallarin Saltado, green spaghetti and half chicken. The Saltado meals lacked any kind of “Chiz Chaz” (If you know, you know) and the Cumin spice overpowered the pollo a la brasa. We would not come back - especially since it’s a few miles from the freeway exit (and Sahara has a lot of traffic). thumbs down for us. I will say that if you are seriously craving Peruvian, this will satisfy you - especially if there aren’t any other options in Vegas (we live in L.A.) - in that case it will...
