My Son snd I took his class 5 years ago and it was fantastic. I just took my renewal class to maintain my CCW 5 years later. His class is fun, informative and he is very good at his job. I refer everyone I know to him. A wonderful experience. Craig is a very friendly and happy man to be around which makes for a very one on one feel even if the class is a full class. The setting is perfect and his classes look to be around 20 students at the most which also keeps the class a very personable experience. You will learn a lot of things you thought you knew but quickly realize you were mistaken. I was stunned to learn the folding knife I have in pocket at all times is illegal. You dont just learn typical information here but you also learn carry laws for other weapons. You will love the class and Craig himself is one of those guys you feel like you've known a lifetime and every meeting is a professional but friendly experience. If you need a CCW and have been putting it of for any reason. Don't be nervous. Craig makes it easy and the time flies by in no time. You will be thrilled to walk the streets or drive them knowing you have the potential to defend you and your loved ones at a moments notice. Make the leap. In my first 5 years of owning a CCW, twice we were assaulted at a red light with no way out. The first assault came from a man with mental issues who attempted to open the door to every car at the red light. He got to my car which carried my 8 year old Nephew and my life source and moral compass which is my son who at the time was 21. The man shattered my sons window and began reaching in and screaming as he began striking my son. It was a fantastic feeling to know I could defend my family with proper knowledge of the law. It was not my intent to harm the man as you could see he suffered from mental issues, but I was able to get out of the car and get the man on ground at gun point until Police arrived. All was well afterwards thanks to Craigs training. I will always return to him for renewals. Worth...
Read moreOwning a firearm comes with tremendous responsibility. A responsible gun owner needs serious, well taught instruction on everything from the basic principles of owning a gun, cleaning it, understanding how it operates, all safety measures, legalities and the consequences of failing to exercise all of the knowledge that should have been obtained long before you plan to carry. That said, finding the right instructor is crucial in this responsibility. I searched and decided upon Las Vegas Fire Arms Training because Craig brings to the table, 35 years of experience in firearm instruction. With knowledge and skill like that, I felt comfortable and confident in learning from him.
His class was fun. This is a 9 hour class and creating a fun and engaging atmosphere to learn in, truly helps in retention of all the information he has to go over. From the basics of firearm safety, learning your weapon, the correct way to handle your gun, the legalities of owning a firearm, simulating, videos, covering multiple scenarios, and more. You receive so much just from course instruction. Part of your training includes firing a gun at Discount Fire Arms. I was quite nervous. A bit overstimulated by it all to be honest. Craig was very patient with me. Very patient! I got the job done and walked out a heck of a lot more confident than when I walked in.
I passed with a high score. You need only pay attention in class as he goes over everything , and you will receive your CC certificate of completion to take to obtain your permit. It’s that easy, and yet, a ton of information.
This is money well spent for sure.
So glad I went with them. I highly recommend this training....
Read moreI previously took CCW training in Ohio, where the class focused more on preparing for the test rather than discussing the responsibilities and real-life scenarios involved in carrying a firearm. Additionally, the Ohio test was so basic that it could be passed without attending the class.
In contrast, Craig’s class was a refreshing and much-needed experience. He emphasized gun safety and the immense responsibility that comes with carrying a firearm in public. He also delved into possible real-world situations and provided valuable guidance on how to handle them. This was exactly the kind of practical knowledge I was looking for but didn’t receive in Ohio.
Craig did an excellent job of discussing the liabilities associated with firearm use, and the videos he shared were both relevant and insightful. One suggestion I have for improving the class would be to inform participants to bring pen and paper or to provide these materials, as the class contains a wealth of information worth noting.
For those aiming for a perfect score, the Nevada test is no joke, but Craig’s thorough approach prepares you well. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the class and highly recommend it. Craig is an...
