I called to place a delivery order and the girl on the phone did not have much mastery in English, I had to repeat myself numerous times to ensure the order was right. She had to ask the spelling of my street name three times. I was told it would take 40-45 minutes for the delivery and this portion of the interaction ended.
Fifteen minutes later I received a call from the restaurant from a girl asking how to spell my street name --- apparently seven letters is too complicated for this staff --- and I had to repeat that three more times before a man took the phone (turns out to be the manager) and finally/hopefully got it.
Another 45 minutes passed with no knock on the door so I called back to inquire on the order.I was told by a girl that it was busy but the order was on the way, I asked when the order left the restaurant so I could gauge an arrival time but her answer was concerning how they make everything fresh. I tried rephrasing the question and she hung up on me.
I called back and when she answered I asked for a manager and the man I spoke with earlier asked what the problem was, I told him that when your employees hang up on me in the process of resolving a problem that the problem escalates. He then said the food had already left the restaurant and assured me everything was fresh, so I inquired (once more) how long ago the food left and he said fifteen minutes ago. Out of curiosity I asked when the food was prepared and he said "I told you, fifteen minutes ago". Thinking his mastery of English was in the same league as his subordinate I tried rephrasing the question and he began getting irritated asking "what do you want me to do?" I rephrased the when was it cooked and when did it leave questions and he retorted with "it left and you can check it when it gets there" so I once more inquired how much longer it would take, since I never received an actual answer to that and he only became more irate. Finally I just told him that I would like to cancel the order and he replied "don't call here anymore".
Good advice, I will never call there again. I'll find another pizza joint to order from in the future. Congratulations Sofia's, you joined my exclusive restaurant list titled "I never tried it, and I never will".
{EDIT} Six years and counting, I still haven't tried this place thanks to the professional service I encountered back then. Based on the review that have been posted since then, I believe I am wise in my decision. Keep up...
Read moreI have ordered from here a few times. The first time was great. I ordered a cheeseburger and frys. I asked for hot sauce on the side.. (stay away from that.. its like salsa with something.. its nasty.. worse hot sauce ever.. and i tried it a few times..) My burger was on 5 stars and my frys were on 5 stars.
So you had a great experience, that makes you wanna try it again. I don'r remember what I ordered the other times, but let me tell you I wasn't satisfied.
I gave them one to many passes. and yeah thats all my fault. its because I have no food in my house to make a meal, and I'm just having a lazy day. And we have all those..
But i never called to complain lol.. so this today i was like let me order a cheeseburger and frys. Can't go wrong. Because the very first time it was bomb. so I added bacon to the burger.. they gave me raw bacon, i had fries that seemed like they werent even cooked.
so yeah i called all mad, When my surgar levels get low i get mean. so this time i called and bitched. i cussed them out.. and i told them they can come get the food back and give me back my money lol
she was like yeah ill send another order ...
so tell me why the second order was the same...
i didnt even want them to resend the food. i rather would of gotten my money back... because i wasn't satisfied the last few times.
but ill never give this place a chance again.
and oh yeah i cant stand that lady who answers the phone.. because she doesn't speak English well.. and i use to think my boyfriend was over exaggerating.. so i made the call this time.. and its aweful.
i dont know how this business is open. whoever runs it doesn't have a clue. honestly i can run this establishment better.. lol owner needs to get a clue
if i had the money to open and run a place i know it would have 5 stars.. lol and not get this many bad reviews.. and i see the owner response to some.. that still doesn't make you look better, or make your company any better..
and for the owner to get upset.. you have a 2/3 star rating with alot of negative remarks against you. so obviously most of these people have a point.. owner really needs to get a clue... too bad.. because most chains like this do really well. they cant be doing to well with business because of the low stars and such...
Read moreI usually never rate bad reviews , but I'm quite upset at the moment. I am a bi weekly regular for wings at Sophia's. I tend to order two number 1's , but as of today I only get one. I come to find out the cashier ( rose ) did my order wrong. The cashier usually asks me if my order is right before she makes the transaction. In this occasion she didn't let me know how much my total was , although she did repeat my order to me which was great because I know it usually comes up to 21 or 22 dollars . As the deleviery guy comes to my house drops off my food I notice he only brings me one , which I happen to find out from him that rose said " he only ordered one order of the number 1 ) which was a lie. On the call she repeated the order to me twice and my card information as well . I asked the driver if he could do me a favor and call again for me to see what the deal was. He called and the lady said I only ordered one set of wings instead of 2 . She asked the driver to ask me if I still wanted the other set of wings and I said yes because I wanted my niece to have her own order and not from mine because she dislikes my wings. They did not ask me for my card information and I thought that was generous from their part to do so. I go out of curiosity in my bank statements on my phone to see if she did or did not charge me again , so she did charge me and I don't see how she could if I didn't give the lady my card information . At this point I'm upset and worried the staff are writing down our card information making it exposed to others and the lack of integrity over their regular clients. I love Sophia's pizza because of their wings , but as of today I'm not going to order anything from there again. My reasoning is ; lack of integrity, hostile phone customer service , writing down my card information , and last but not least because the driver smikered and acted belligerent when I asked if he could call and for me. I've never rated anything bad until now. I will let others know how horrible the staff of Sophia's pizza is and to never go this...
