9 times out of 10 I'm happy with the service, my drink quality, and the exceptional cleanliness of the space. I always try to tip them something as I'm a regular. The other day I was going to stay and work so I ordered my usual but with light ice. It's a little annoying when you order a drink and the cup has more ice than drink. If I have a cold drink, I usually drink it pretty quickly, so I ask for light ice. The 1st order I got 3/4 cup of ice which equates to 3 extra sips. So the next one I politley asked again for light ice. The girl grabbed a cup and proceeded to point at the lines on the cup, " do you want it here, or here, or here. What is it?" I smiled in my best "bless your heart you are young" way and said, " About 1/4 of the cup how does that sound?" She snorted and pass the cup to the other barista. When I got the 2nd one it was half full and no ice and lukewarm. Since I live next door and I visit often, I chose not to be offended by the immature behavior of a 20 yr old barista who wouldn't know real life it stood up and smacked them in the face. Instead I went to the other Starbucks inside Albertsons down the street. The service, the drink, the experience was everything I hoped for, a redemption of the Stabucks name. Of course I will go back to the one next door but if I have the choice, I would choose Albertson's Starbucks over the others. I saw they went out of their way to apologize to a previous guest for their error, but when I ordered egg bites which I waited about 10 minutes for without getting, all I got was a sorry. Long story short, I sat right by the pick up location and never heard my name called for the egg bites. When I inquired about it, the person in charge of making them responded, “I thought I made them.” As I walked away after being told it would be prepared and would take a moment, I looked at the pickup counter and there was a bag with my name on it that also read “Egg bites”. Mind you, I heard other names called and waited attentively to hear mine and it never happened. Upon finding this bag, I picked it up and it had a burrito in it- not my egg bites despite the label. When I brought this to their attention, they laughed and the person in charge of making it said, •How'd I do that?” The manager stood there the entire time and never commented on the problems.
