I'm sad to say this location has gone downhill since the pandemic - it used to be one of my favorite quick places to come because I don't really do McDonald's or those types of fast food restaurants. I live around the corner and come here frequently, more for the convenience than anything else lately. The last time I had food here, my wrap was soaking with dressing and missing ingredients. Today, I decided to go through the drive-through around 1:40 pm. An employee comes on the speaker "Welcome to Tropical Smoothie, we are busy right now so it will be about a 5 minute wait." I said "ok, no problem." Five minutes later, what sounded like a different employee came on the speaker "hi, we are really busy right now so we can't make any food orders." I said "no problem, I'll just have a smoothie." There were three cars in front of me and after driving around, the inside of the restaurant was completely empty. After receiving my smoothie almost 15 minutes later, I overheard the employee saying over her mic "it will be about a 10-15 minute wait." I understand they may also have orders to make from other food services such as Uber Eats, etc, but this is no way to talk customers. I also understand the issues with being understaffed that most restaurants are still facing, however, the way they are saying what they're saying makes it seem like they just don't care or...
Read moreThe service was abysmal, but the smoothie almost made up for it. Placed my order in the app at 11:17 AM. My order was supposed to be ready at 11:25 or so. Iâm not sure how long I stayed at the online pickup counter, but the cashier ignored me to the best of her ability only offering an apprehensive glance at the pickup sign when I spoke to her. Of the three people visible, I was finally able to connect with someone who came from the kitchen area at 11:38. I asked if they were still working on my order, and she said she would check. Moments later she returned with my smoothie and said yes they were still working on my quesadilla. I waited 10 or 15 more minutes before kitchen staff checked a bag that had been sitting there since before I arrived. Lo and behold, there was my quesadilla and apple! Employees barely acknowledged their problem. The food was edible, and I wouldâve rated it higher had it been still warm and not ruined with rosemary. That is just a personal preference, but the Mexican nomenclature lulled me into a fault sense of security vis a vis seasonings. Also, the salsa was bizarrely horseradish flavored. The Granny Smith was great. Apparently, somebodyâs granny needs to train these people on...
Read moreIts not the service at this location, to be honest I have to blame whoever owns it or manages the store. Its Saturday at 6:30 pm and they have 1 young kid there working alone . Its always busy there and he has to take orders from drive thru as well as work the front, along with prepare the food. While the owners or manager is trying to save money by having one person work, they are losing people from them walking out. I sat at the drive thru and watched 2 customers walk out. Its a joke, I dont blame the kid working, I blame the owners for only having a single person working on what I imagine has to be a pretty busy night during the week. I have to assume they dont pay the kid that well either. No wonder they only have 1 person working, half their business is walking out. This is the simple truth. I waited almost 30 min for 2 smoothies. I dont know, pretty unacceptable if you ask me. Wake up, you're losing money trying to cheap out on...
