La Hacienda Taqueria — Restaurant in Lathrop

Ordered for a scheduled pick up (this place called me about the issues about my order but I missed it) and had my boyfriend pick up the order and he called me and said that the lady handling our order was really annoyed and had a tone about my request of my burrito and salsa ×2 on side. I requested no beans and sub extra meat, I know it's not of EQUAL value but if it's 2 pieces of meat that equals to their policy then thats fine but I didn't want anything of extra anything else. And the lady proceed to explain to my boyfriend that they cook the beans with the meat to give extra flavor and pretty much gave him a lecture about how future reference we're gonna pay for extra meat next time and about our salsa there's an upcharge to it and cup sizes were different. I had no idea but we went with whatever came with the chips for free but my boyfriend called me to let me know about all this and the lady I was able to hear in the back so loud and im able to confirm she had a angry tone and I just wanted him to pick up the food and go I didn't mean for the inconvenience and wish to pick up the food rather than my boyfriend so it was just a bad experience.. I wish the employee was nicer about explaining the menu...

Nooo.. I like to support local business but this was awful. I waited 20 minutes for a lunch I overpaid for -$28 for two enchilada plates. They're only making to go orders right now, and they charge for chips to go I guess. Which doesn't seem fair because they wouldn't charge for chips if we were able to eat in the restaurant.. anyway, we ordered chicken enchiladas and instead of the usual shredded chicken that comes in enchiladas it was weird small,dry, grilled pieces that tasted like it had some weird seasoning (and I'm not even positive it was chicken). My son said it tasted like breakfast sausage so maybe it was some sort of sage seasoning. Anyway, I've tried this place three times and I won't be back, I don't mind spending money for local eateries, but the food better be good and...

Mole was AMAZING 🤩 I love mole and theirs was perfection 😋 I prefer the asada pieces smaller and more tender is why I only gave 4/5 star review. Burrito was a decent size. I'm glad it was not small. I hate when it's a giant 10 in tortilla with mostly tortilla less filling, they did not do that. Thankfully 👍 order taker, cashier was nice. Not friendly but nice. She was quick. They did not have take out menus which is always a good idea. My opinion of the restaurant is authentic mexican food. I love Mexican food😍 I can't wait to try a mole plate next time or full mole covered wet burrito. It cost $30.45 for 2 wet burritos. Another one of my complaints.
