Moved to Lathrop a year ago and I had gone to this place before. It wasn't bad but wasn't amazing either. I still returned since my hubby bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. I asked for no gel, just standard nail polish. The girl doing my nails did not let the layers dry in-between coats and just painted them all back to back really quickly. I know this is a no-no, but assumed it was one of those new rapid drying nail polishes and gave the "professional" the benefit of the doubt. After getting my toes and hands done, I sat around for about a half hour to let it dry. She sprayed something on my nails that I had never had before (it was like a hairspray bottle). She told me to be careful since it was not gel and needs time to dry (weird, since I have never left a salon with them not dry after 30 minutes, so I was already dreading she did what I thought she did). I went home and was VERY careful and waiting another hour. So an hour later, they were not drying at all. I went back to the salon and showed the lady how the entire polish just came off my nails 1.5 hours after the service. She tried to gaslight me and say it take a long time to dry. Irritated, but without argument, I requested her to just redo it with gel and I'd pay the difference for the gel. I simply pulled the nailpolish right off of all of my fingers and they were ready for the gel; that is how bad it was. The lady repainted my hands and then said goodnight. I reminded her my feet have the same polish and she tried to act like she didn't understand me. A different lady walked up and I told her my feet needed to be redone too. She asked me why and I litterally picked up foot and showed her how the polish comes right off the nail completely (mind you, this was after I got my hands redone, so close to about 2 hours after they were initially done now). This lady again tried to gaslight me and say that is why I should get gel because those polishes take too long to dry. I responded, "the nail polish is no good". At least she didn't argue and just said, "yes, no good" and pointed for me to sit down for someone to fix it. I got my feet redone and when I went to pay the difference for the gel, I got charged another $55! Mind you, I already paid for full service on a pedi and manicure and spent a long time waiting for the nails to dry. Way too much time spent for a simple nail service. I didn't want to make a scene so I paid it and left. Went straight home and made sure my husband knew to NEVER buy me another gift certificate for this place. Their loss since we are a home full of 4 woman/girls and his go to for gift is always gift certificate to get our nails done. They gaslighted me and made me feel very uncomfortable knowing damn well it don't take that long for non gel polish to dry. It was most likely a combination of old nail polish and bad technique since the lady didn't allow the layers to dry inbetween coats. I almost didn't leave a review but today I was reminded I need to find a new nail place and the my anger from that experience came back and convinced me to leave a review, so here it is. Skip this spot! Wish I could give NO STARS for...
Read moreI'm torn on this place because it was one of the best pressure point foot massages I have ever had during a pedicure! The prices are amazing. The ladies are all very friendly. And they took us as walk ins right away with no wait. And I love my toe nails! Honestly it's a really great place but my 2 complaints are kinda big so I don't know if I will be back or not. They have a very cute hello kitty kids pedicure chair that my child was going to use but I switched my child to a regular chair once I saw how bad the scum was while they were filling the water in it.. without a bag.. with the scum floating in it. My second complaint is that while microbladding my calluses the lady was also microbladding that very thin skin on the side of my foot. I said owe a couple times cause I didn't understand what she was microbladding and then it was extremely painful all of a sudden so I said something. It took a couple weeks for it to heal as there was about 20 back and forth scratches on my foot. I wanna go back and I want that same person for my massage but I'm...
Read moreI've been here 4 times. 3 times Mai has done my pedicure and I've been happy with it. Today, this other young lady did my pedicure in about 10 minutes. I'm not joking. She looked rushed and did not take the time that Mai or the other ladies at other shops usually take. I'm not asking for a one hour pedicure, but this totally broke the record as the fastest pedicure I've had. Another customer sitting next to me that got there at the same time and had the same basic pedicure as me was half way done, when the nail lady finished with me (by the way, the other staff that did the other customer's pedicure was great and very nice. Her name is Jenni). I hate to complain, especially in front of people so I said nothing but next time, I know which lady won't be doing my pedicure! I will return because so far the rest of the staff look like they do a good job. I'll give this shop another chance, but no... she got...
