Arrived around 530pm on friday and seated immediately. The tables quickly filled within the next 30 mins. So much so that there were some people waiting in line to be seated.
We started with the crab puff appetizer. It was delicious and crispy, filled with crab, cream cheese and onions. Onion soup was decent, but I'd prefer a much more oniony flavor.
Our sushi (fried cali roll) came out with our food bc the sushi bar was backed up a bit. It was prepared well, warm when received and tasted great. I ordered the steak hibachi. I will not order steak again. The flavor and quality was very inconsistent. Some pieces were melt-in-your-mouth and heavenly, while i had to discreetly spit quite a few other pieces into my napkin. The rice was unlike other fried rice ive had... it was more sticky and hard rather than soft and fluffy. Not much flavor and the typical add-ins (egg and vegis) were scarce. The cabbage and vegis were very good. My husband ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi combo. He experinced the same issue with his steak, but did like the shrimp. We also ordered the kids a noodle plate. I enjoyed the noodles very much, and would go back just for those and the crab puffs.
Server was kind and tried her best to keep our drinks filled and plates clear, but was unable do to her large workload. I think a few more servers are needed on...
Read moreYou can't expect a good Asian restaurant in Laurinburg , but this place is very nice and the service was good . I really like the decor inside . I live in Las Vegas , Nevada where we have a ton of Asian restaurants , so I am probably more critical than the average person in Laurinburg and the area would be . I went with some friends of mine that I was visiting that live here . I come to the Carolinas every couple of years and stay in Laurinburg a couple days to see friends and family .
They didn't have General Tso's Chicken on the menu , but they said they could make it for me . It was okay , but nothing special . I came here on October 6 , 2021 , so I can't really recall what my friends had except one had some soup with his meal and wasn't sure what it was . I think it was Miso , but he said it was kind of bland , but he finished it . We all got good portions where we had to ask for a to go box . I would have to say this would be the best Asian restaurant in the area . Years ago I went to a Chinese Buffet in town with my sister and it was a real let down . They had a pretty good selection , but you could honestly say it tasted like items from a frozen Chinese dinner and not even a good one . The service was also bad . I'm not sure if they are still in business since it was...
Read moreThe menu was extensive and had many options. The building itself was very clean, presentable and look really nice. It did take a rather long time for our order to be taken, like I read the whole menu, which is a few places long. I understand that other guess need to be taken care of as well, but there were only two other table with customers when we arrived. However the only thing good about this place is the ranch dressing. I got the "salad" which was just lettuce in a bowl, but for having that come with the meal, I wasn't expecting anything huge, but maybe some cheese, other veggies, or it to be advertised as a bowl of lettuce. My boyfriend who took me got the soup with his meal which tasted like water with mushrooms and onions thrown in to add flavor, which didn't do anything. The steak and shrimp gave me the most upset stomach which lead to explosive diarrhea, I'm just trying to save anyone else from the poop pouring from their butt like I'm still experiencing while writing this. Take your chances, but don't say I...
