Last night on Tuesday, August 12, I went in to use a coupon to celebrate my birthday. It was for buy 3 quarts get 1 free. I was told by the girl (with the braids) working there that she could only give me two quarts of the cotton candy and refused to let me buy 4. She said she would have to make more before tomorrow and therefore refused to allow me to buy 4 quarts of the cotton candy. I left because thatās the only flavor I like, and it was for my birthday tomorrow. I understand they were close to closing, but they were not closed. They could have easily had my order finished before they closed had she not refused to serve me. She said they have to open with a certain amount of flavors⦠so she didnāt want to give me the rest of the cotton candy ice. Iām sure they donāt have a constant unlimited supply of ice and they sometimes run out when people order. I donāt see how she found it okay to refuse my order so she could make her job easier and not make new ice, or had the shift working tomorrow make more. Iāve worked at restaurants and in the food industry and I never denied someone service so that I could make my job easier. I left and went to US Mr. Ice Cream, and the staff was so kind and attentive there! A complete juxtaposition to the lack of professionalism at this Ritaās location. I think these are just young kids working a summer job, and want to avoid doing extra work during their shift. It was just a really bad experience and I was not provided a valid reason as to why they could not serve me ice that they had in stock, but just refused to allow me to purchase it. Iām going to call the franchise location number to see if I can get some better answer as to why I couldnāt PURCHASE an ice flavor that they had IN STOCK. I want to know if this is standard practice, or misinformed kids who were not...
