J Brians Pub & Grille — Restaurant in Lawrence

Me and my wife wanted sone chicken wings as I travel for work and she joins me when possible and this is my first review and I am so upset at what i saw tonight i needed to write one. I learned real quickly this is not a place for visitors or tourists to go to as it Definitely does not welcome people not local as me and my wife tried to order a second drink, we were not driving. We were told Bar was closed and it was around 11:30 even though it said 1 am closing. We yhen watched a fight almost break out and a man who appeared to be a buinness man got in middle of it and prevented it from getting worse. Then i over heard one of the 2 bartrnders calling him names. ASSUME he was not local also as after one customer who I met a business person stop or prevent not 1 but 2 fights treated like garbage and made him leave and then watched the bartender call him names to the patrons when they should of been thanking him. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU LOCAL. I HAVE been to every city and state in this country and never in my life have I felt so unwelcome and can see why watching the person probably saving their liquor license being...

My husband and I came here last weekend and it took forever to get our drinks and food. I didn't get what I ordered and when I let the waitress know she told me to send it back so I did. It took even longer to get my correct food so I just asked for it to go. They were very busy and there were only two of them so I get that it took longer but it took and hour and a half for two of us to dine here. I finished my drink and ordered another one that they forgot about. As we got the check they asked if I wanted another drink. The check also had the incorrect order on it and not what I actually ordered which was a dollar cheaper. It was only a dollar though so we just paid it.

This could have been just a one time thing so if we get the chance to give them another try we will and I'll edit...

OWNER PLEASE TAKE NOTICE. great food, great atmosphere. your waitstaff is the worst!! horrible. i was there the other night . sat a table. from what ive seen and read to get any type of service you have to sit at the bar. sitting at a table you are guaranteed to be totally ignored. sat at table and 30 mins later we ordered drinks. bartender said she would be right back to take our order. 45 mins later had to walk up to the bar and order food. food took forever to come out. 30 mins later we had to wait to cash out. i had to walk up the to bar and get the bartender to stop talking to her friends to get out check. horrible horrible terrible waitstaff....
