I'm conflicted with this store. I love the accessibility of it. Perfect location. When it opened earlier this year it was flying high. Everyone had great energy and the speed was surprising coming from the neighborhood Starbucks in Haverhill.
But now, it's kind of fallen victim to the same culture of most other stores. I had managed Starbucks stores in Boston and I understand how this happens.
They are totally overwhelmed with mobile ordering and the drive-thru that when you go in to the cafe you are now the third priority and often have to wait up to 8-10 minutes just for one drink even if there is no one else in the cafe with you.
Because the focus and attention has become on mobile and in this stores case drive-thru, the speed of the Barista's has drastically dropped. There is no longer a sense of urgency if getting items out the door. It pains me to see this as I fought hard to serve mobile and in cafe customers in downtown Boston with a wait of no more than 3 minutes.
I know it can be done! I know they DID do it in the beginning. But they probably got burned out fast. It's not easy to keep that pace up all the time.
I want to give this store a 4 or 5 star review. It's a beautiful store in a great location. But the drop in attention to cafe customers and the urgency of preparing drinks and food limits the review to a 3.
I'd also rather send this review to the store manager directly so they could try and light a fire in a positive way. But I don't know who that is nor does the Starbucks website make it easy to...
Read moreThe staff seems to be a revolving door. I'm used to the Starbucks baristas knowing me by name considering how often I go there. The drinks are made extremely inconsistent. I love Starbucks but this location is not like the many others I've frequented and for the money spent, I like them knowing who I am and not giving attitudes when drinks are made wrong. It takes a lot for me to ask for a remake so when I do, listening is key. People know their drinks, how they look, how they taste - so if they say something doesn't look right, don't take it personally and listen versus arguing. Ive been to Starbucks where I went to the wrong location and they happily made my drinks there so I didn't have to go to the other location. That's above and beyond. I can't see this ever happening here. I have to battle to get my drinks made as ordered. Also, the time on the mobile order needs to be more accurate. It just seems like staffing is off which is unfortunate because it's such a big deal when you are treated with appreciation. I've been going here for a year now since I moved from my last location and they knew me...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Starbucks My recent visits to this Starbucks location have been less than ideal, primarily due to the behavior of one particular employee. Today, as I walked in, I was met with a very unwelcoming and "hangry" stare from the lady who is usually at the cashier. This isn't an isolated incident. On a previous occasion, as I was approaching the cashier to place my order, she actually moved aside, signaling another associate to take my order instead. Today's experience culminated when I went to pick up my order. This same individual looked at me again with a firm, angry expression and seemed to follow me with her gaze from the door to the pickup counter. Adding to the discomfort, when I reached the pickup area, another person simply stated "delivery" without so much as a "hello." While I enjoy Starbucks, these experiences have made me feel quite unwelcome at this...
