Hello all, it’s your friendly neighborhood nurse practitioner! I recently enjoyed a good experience at Pikalo. The ham and cheese tostada I ordered was toasted to perfection, with the cheese melting just right, creating a delicious blend of flavors. The passion fruit smoothie was a perfect match, striking the ideal balance between tartness and sweetness. I highly recommend this spot, especially for their generously sized and tasty empanadas (even if I think they are a little bit expensive for what they are, but that applies to most food spots that sell empanadas). I’ve gone about 3x simply hoping that my thoughts on the food & service wasn’t due to just a bad day.

The service somehow is always so slow and that’s even with 3 people behind the counter.

The empanadas just don’t do it for me. I truly wanted to like them because I’ve enjoyed Pikalo empanadas from their other places but something about the dough here I just don’t like it.

Fue la primera vez que fui y está muy caro, la calidad de la masa en la empanadilla no tiene gusto y la carne que probé fue la de res , totalmente seca , para mí no tiene gusto como que le hace falta ser un poco más jugosa, creeme compré dos empanadillas de res y no me gustaron,, pero es cuestión de gusto y no necesariamente quiere decir que a otros no les gusta , pero a mí no me gustó, creo que ni con hambre me la comería,, querían mi opinión pues esa es mi opinión, pero los jugos estaban ricos ,,el de chinola me encantó,, creo que pueden mejorar el producto, y otra cosa soy cocinero y si le cambian el sabor a la carne y la hacen más jugosa , creo que mejoraría un montón,, y la masa también deben de hacerla con más sabor.
