I cannot express enough my gratitude and appreciation for Salvatore's and their hosting. We held a Mercy Meal here last month for my brother-in-law, a truly tremendous loss. Within the first hour of our event, it naturally shifted from a Mercy, to a Celebration of Life.
In the beginning, I met with Colleen to organize and she was remarkable. She helped us build a menu (Lenten season friendly) and catered without hesitation to my little requests. She communicated clearly, and was always available for questions.
We expected 60, nearly 100 came! The room was gorgeous, clean and large enough for everyone to be comfortable. The staff brought in more food, they brought in more chairs - it was so seamless and made our guest feel like we had planned it that way!
The bartender was gracious and quick. Excellent drinks. An original hour open-bar turned into a full-time open because of how easy the process was. He kept a close tab, and cared for every person that came to him - even when the masses of children requested Arnold Palmers and Shirley Temples.
The food was spectacular. We are actually using them again for his 40-day Memorial service in a few weeks. It was hot, fresh, plenty, and the cannoli were second to none. Our waitress (oh I wish I could recall her name) was vigilant, precise and calm. It was amazing considering how big our party was.
The most impressive, however, was that the owner, Michael, was there at the front door upon our arrival. He welcomed every single guest with a hand shake, hug, or kind greeting as they walked in the door. He served our food. He checked in on every guest. I couldn't thank him enough for his kindness, his personal touch, and genuinity. I was brought to tears with him and Colleen at the end of our event. Thank you. Thank you.
I will absolutely be using Sal's for any and every event here forth. With much gratitude -The...
Read moreSpent $81/person for dinner and a show, Guidos Last Supper held next door at their function hall. What a major disappointment...not to mention a complete waste of time. Doors opened at 6:30, dinner was served about 7:15. The room was set up like a wedding reception with the guidos sitting at the head table. The food was just okay, wait staff took one of the beers from off our table before we had a chance to drink it...just terrible service. From 7:15 to at least 9:00 the room was pretty silent, almost awkwardly silent. Most of the "audience" was just sitting there looking around waiting for the show to start. The ad did say the guidos would be entertaining us as we ate our meal so that's what we were expecting. We waited so long that I actually told my husband I would have walked out then and there if we hadn't been with another couple for their birthday; he agreed. How embarrassing to give tickets to another couple as a birthday gift. The whole event was very unprofessional. They had a Q&A session before the "show" even started. Not what we paid for when we purchased tickets to a comedy show. The show finally started about 9:30. Each guido did about a 10-minute spiel to make us laugh. A couple of the guys talked so fast we could hardly understand them so their comedy was lost on a lot of people. One guy stood with his back to our side of the room the whole time so we couldn't even attempt to read his lips. It was painfully long. At the end, they raffled off autographed toilet seats to various people, another boring event that just prolonged the agony. I guess it was over when one guy said, "Okay, that's it, you're dismissed." We go to a lot of comedy shows, but this...
Read moreFrom start to finish, I would recommend Salvatore’s to any engaged couple as a top tier wedding venue in the area. Marci was our coordinator and I cannot give her enough positive praise for her expertise and genuine care for us as the bride and groom throughout the entire process. The food is unbelievable, with more than just Italian options. We chose a carving station, chicken marsala, pasta, salad, veggie medley, and whipped potatoes for our buffet. Plated meals are available as well. The Coliseum room is the larger of the two function rooms, and the dance floor is centrally located with tables around it. Also included in the room is a full bar and a beautiful private bridal suite included with a bathroom and sitting area. We had plenty of room for a photo booth for guests. The wait staff and bartender were exceptional and took great care of our guests. The tasting was included in the price and was an amazing way to make sure our menu was perfect for our special day. Prices are reasonable, and you truly feel like you are being taken care of as family here. I did not get to meet Michael, the owner, but I heard fabulous feedback about him as well. I truly cannot thank Marci enough for making my experience as a bride planning a wedding so seamless and stress free. It was the most...
