Subway — Restaurant in Lawrence

Absolutely atrocious experience. Employees working at 2pm on Thursday 4/11 are very slow even if there is nobody in the restaurant.

Problem arose when food was not prepared correctly. Didn't have to be a big deal. I pointed it out and requested a replacement or refund, and they asked me to prove it. So I showed them the sandwich. They then said I would have to either throw it in the trash in front of them or give it back to them in order to get a refund. Health code does not allow you to take customer's orders back across the counter, and it's basic policy to not force someone to throw away food you failed to make correctly in order to get a refund. They did not confirm my sandwich ingredients with me, and proceeded to lie about their actions and words when I told them I would escalate the issue.

Went to this Subway tonight to get my daughter dinner after cheer practice and we walked in to the the lady working the line yelling at the next customer waiting to stop rolling his eyes because she could just walk out if she wanted to. She proceeded to say that she had someone else there working but they were not helping. My daughter was so uncomfortable that she asked to leave. I then called expecting to get someone in an office and she answered and told me that it was her I was speaking of and to call back tomorrow and then hung up on me. I love Subway, but it's really easy to get a sandwich that's kind of blah. You need to be very thoughtful and careful about making sure you request ingredients that you like and avoid those you don't. I highly recommend getting your sandwich toasted to elevate the flavor. The people working here at my neighborhood Subway are always really nice and never seem to be less than happy to be there. They're always happy to work with my special requests.
