t. Loft — Restaurant in Lawrence

I was very excited to try this place. I have actually never left a poor review but this was disappointing. The food was ok, but nothing special. And the service was sub par. I asked for water with my sit down meal and was told I would have to either buy water or pay 25cents plus tax for a cup. When the food came it was in plastic throw away container with a throw away fork. No thanks.

In response to your response: No other restaurants in Lawrence asked for money for water for dine in. Most takeout type places around the US have a water station with washable cups for self service. Also I was dine in so I didn't ask for a lid. Paper and wood are still disposable one use. The person who took my order was not very friendly or helpful. I don't take writing a not great review lightly, this is literally the only one I've ever written. So long story short I used to love to get fresh juice and/or smoothies but I became anaphylactic to most fruits (Lemons, limes, grapes, Latex fruits, bananas, mango and pineapple just to name a few 🥲) and I’ve been really craving a nice hydrating juice even if I can only have a weird combo.

Anyways I come in and explain my situation and ask if I can be accommodated and the lady working did an amazing job!!!

It is unsafe for me to have anything from the juicer but she was happy and willing to blend up the fruits for me :) it is AWESOME! This is my first fresh juice/smoothie in years!! Yeah the texture is a little off (at absolutely no one’s fault lol) but just the fact she inconvenienced herself to accommodate me means the world to me 💙💙 She also bottled up the extra and gave it to me for free since she couldn’t sell it.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The bowl I got was tasty, but they didn’t put sauce on it, so I went to ask for some and they said they were out, but would check the back to make sure. Sure enough they had some after all, so it should’ve been put on my food in the first place. Secondly, I ordered a cinnamon roll after my meal, which I had to ask to get heated up. Then they handed it to me with no frosting so I had to ask for that too, but they said they didn’t have any frosting. This time after checking the back, they’re definitely wasn’t any, but who sells cinnamon rolls without the frosting? I tried it when I got home, hoping it would taste fine without frosting, but it tasted SO stale and left the worst aftertaste in my mouth.
