The breakfast is delicious. They open at 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends and serve breakfast until 11am. As of Nov 2019, they have Wednesday and Friday specials on Breakfast Burritos. The breakfast meats are sausage, bacon and steak. The steak contains gluten and soy and will take extra time to prepare, but is accessible all day. Bacon and sausage are gluten, soy, and dairy free but only available for breakfast.
I recommend getting a junior breakfast burrito on a taco shell. It's not on the menu, but breakfast tacos make any morning better. The hard shell option makes it gluten free, but the eggs (and the cheese) contain milk.
Of course you can get the breakfast version (eggs rather than beans and a breakfast meat) of Super Potato Oles or Super Nachos. The breakfast versions are also gluten free.
A lower carb option would be ordering a side of eggs, add sausage (or bacon or steak), lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I will often get this with sour cream, then add my own diced avocado as I'm not a big fan of their guacamole.
They offer coffee and orange juice at breakfast, but most people go for iced tea (unsweetened) or the Pepsi products (plus Dr. Pepper). People can bring in their own cup for refill pricing on tea and Pepsi products. I don't drink coffee, so I'm not sure if there is a refill price for bringing your own mug. Also, I'm not sure it matters to anyone, but they have the "small ice" which some people really like.
Other recommend items include the classic Potato Oles with a side on nacho cheese, churros, or maybe coffee and donut bites.
You can order Mexirolls for breakfast as well.
Other options are to grill your burrito, or just your tomatoes and onions before they are added to your burrito.
Technically, lunch starts at 10am, but I've seen the beef and beans get done earlier. Their beef contains gluten and soy while their beans contain milk.
Daily specials include: Monday - taco burgers Tuesday - tacos and bean burritos Thursday - Taco Bravos Friday - combo burritos (and the cheap breakfast burritos) Saturday - 6 pack and a pound Sunday - soft tacos
All items with beef can have beans substituted for free. A new employee might try to ring it up wrong (removing beef adding beans) which costs money, but any manager can sort it out.
A gluten free option would be bean tacos. Adding tomatoes and onions is free. Super Nachos and Super Potato Oles with bean or chicken substituted for beef are not healthy, but delicious and gluten free.
They have kids meals available. This can come with milk (chocolate or regular) or another drink. It also comes with goldfish grahams (soy and gluten).
I've noticed that my kids liked the cheese roll which can be cut into slices for you. Adding beef to this costs money, but it is very tasty.
The stuffed grilled taco is really good, and I love the grilled beef burrito (gluten, soy, and milk in both).
If you're going to get Potato Oles, get a side of nacho cheese with them.
As I mentioned before, adding diced avocado (that you bring in) will blend well with most menu items.
Their pico is usually very good and fresh.
Their guacamole isn't good right now. Is not horrible, but I'd get it somewhere else or substitute sour cream or nacho cheese. WE NEED BETTER GUAC!
As someone that likes sour cream, I've learned that ordering a side is equivalent to adding it to four items such as tacos. It is cheaper to get a side of sour cream than it is to add it to four items. They know this and are usually ok putting it on 4 items for you.
Fish tacos are served during Lent (usually late February through mid April).
Usually starting in the first week of November until the last week in December, they start offering a deal on gift cards. Get a $5 coupon for a $25 gift card. This includes refilling gift cards, so no need to throw them away. The coupon isn't good until January, and it doesn't work with any sale item or discount (including a 10% senior discount). No change is offered if you use it on a meal for less than $5.
If you can't tell, I really...

Read moreSo i walked into this taco johns with 3 of my co-workers at 10:04 p.m on 1/24/18. We walked in and there were 3 people in the lobby eating food. The lady behind the counter was talking to one of the people sitting down at the table and when we walked in she went to the back, we stood there for about 5 min or so before someone was preparing food greeted us. At this point in time after greeting us he said "I think our lobby is closed". The door was obviously not locked as we just walked in. So after all this the lady that was at the front when we walked in finally comes up and says "if you want to order food you will have to go out and go through the drive through". This is poor customer service to say the least, and to whom it may concern, I am writing this from the Taco Bell lobby with our 45$ food order...
