Yello Sub — Restaurant in Lawrence

I went here a few weeks back to grab a bite to eat and watch the game. It had been a few years since I’d been in town and stopped by.

I walked in and ordered my food with no issues and kind service. I then went to sit down and watch the game to unfortunately find out they have closed 3/4 of the dining rooms. They have about 6 tables open in the main section of the building.

The sides were blocked off with chairs and no access. When I pulled up I thought someone was in there watching the game. Turns out it was an employee over there watching the game.

Food was still Planet Sub but was not as hot as I would’ve anticipated especially since I sat there to eat.

If you go here I’d recommend it being during a slower time of day to get a sandwich not waiting. Also, wouldn’t eat here again until the other rooms are open. It seems as though the inside and upkeep is to difficult. Especially since they are paying for the Cable subscription and not having their customers use it. As well as space that’s going to waste. Can tell the inside has taken a beating and hasn’t done anything inside to help the upkeep of the restaurant.

Again I would still order from here, just won’t dine in again. Which is unfortunate cause I travel and won’t be traveling back through...

Ever since I first stepped foot into Yello Sub, I was hooked. Being from California it's hard to find a sandwich shop with fresh ingredients, on warm, toasty, fresh baked bread that are up to my standard. They do this thing I'm learning every Lawrence staple does, where they add cream cheese to items I never knew needed cream cheese. The Experience is probably my favorite sandwich in the world, I can't go about my week without at least one. Nic, the manager, has always been overly helpful, remembering me by my particular order on only my third visit. The staff is always so accommodating, and remembers me by name. This is where you go to get a great quality sandwich, in small town atmosphere at a perfect price. They run awesome daily specials that help you save even more money and even have a fish tank. Seriously, what more could you need me to say to convince you to go? Go! You...

It Was good BUT the food and service is going downhill. It Was really good the first few times I went and I even started taking more friends and family there to try it. After a few weeks they WEREN’T the same. Not sure if it’s a new hire or manager but oh brother this place needs some help. we’ve been uncharged for what they say is “ free condiments” online and I’ve been refused the free guest wifi every time we go in to eat. the last three times I’ve gone, I’ve been given little to ZERO protein in my sandwiches and wraps (they just load it with lettuce and other veggies!!!) I’ve even asked specifically to not have any at this point because it’s all or nothing with whoever’s making the food back there. they don’t really listen to specifications, even when...
