I went to Repticon for the first time, and while I was standing outside waiting on my ticket, a couple next to me said their coffee was really good in a surprising tone. I asked them where they got their coffee and they said Aroma Cafe around the corner. I made a friend at the convention and we decided to swing by for a cup of coffee and tea. We walked in and the smell of smoke was evident. I asked the folks at the bar why people smoked in the cafe and they shared its a part of Bosnian Culture. I met the owner, Sam, who said his coffee is made with love. His aunt grows the beans on her farm in Niagara which are roasted in Croatia off the coast of the Adriatic Sea. The roaster imports a variety of beans and packages his blend for retail. I ordered my coffee with a bit of sugar. It tasted like a high quality roast and I was impressed with the flavor profile of the drink. I think to the person’s review below me, if you enter a Bosnian establishment you should be prepared to accept the cultural differences. In terms of the rat, I never saw any bugs or vermin. The cafe smelled overpoweringly of smoke, and a mouse ran by directly in front of me (my partner was pretty shocked to see that). So, I didn't even feel comfortable doing more than just quickly tasting my drink.
