Today we went to waffle house in Grayson Ga on Ga. 20 hwy. People were sitting in chairs waiting on take out orders. We were going to eat in. Bunch of booths empty. The host told us that some one had called ahead of time to reserve so many tables. He would not serve us until the other people had arrived and then served then we could be served. We left. Went to the waffle house in Lawrenceville Ga at Ga 20 and Hwy 124. Waited 30 minutes to be served. Husband food came first but his steak pattie came later. Food cold. My food came to the table no bacon till later. We go to cashier to pay the waitress didn't have our yellow ticket ready. We had to step to the inside till she could write it out. Then get back in line again. Here is another story. Lilburn Waffle house on hwy 78 near Killian Hill Rd. Every side in waffle house was full of to go orders. Lots of tables needed to be cleaned off. We both are 65 years old.. My husband and I sat down at a table. Tip was on the table. The waitress came over to the table grab the money. Told us to get up and go back up to the waiting area to sit down. We told her there were none. Then she accuses us of wanting to steal her tip. We walked out. Wont go back to that one. The black waitress made a scene. Has Waffle house changed to where take out orders are more important? waffle house doesn't want to serve you in house people eating like Grayson location. When did you start letting people reserve booths and refuse people that are...
Read moreEver since covid things just aren't the same anymore. Everytime I come there, there's a severe lack of customer service. So I gave it a few months and decided to pop up today. Literally 3 employees, one person waiting on to go and one person at the table waiting on their food. As I waited to place my order, I watched as the three employees talked and had fun joking around. No greeting to me when I came in tho and i watched as the waitress picked up the food for the waiting table - but she proceeded to HOLD his plate while she laughed and talked with the cooks. I waited a good ten mins, listened in on the conversation and when it finally was over, I waved at them in hopes to get their attention. I was ignored. The waitress continued to laugh with the cook - that's when I called out, "Hey are you guys still taking orders?" Finally the cook acknowledged me, told me I'd have to wait, and the waitress rolled her eyes as she finally decided to hand over the plate to the table (she had been laughing and talking over this poor man food the whole time)
After she took forever to give the man his food, I simply left. It's so sad, it used to be so nice family friendly atmosphere. Now they will ignore your calls, tell you to come in, and when you finally do stop by they will...
Read moreWe are currently sitting here eating our late night waffle craving and our amazing and calm server is Alex. Who ironically has ONLY been here one whole week. There are 3 or 4 other servers here tonight and they have all yelled at each other and complained that their night has been very stressful because they were not prepared nor equipped with everything they need to run properly. It was one of the worst experiences we have ever had here. Thank God for Alex. She also just mentioned she's been here since 5:30 earlier this morning and will have made it 24 hours in a few hours. This girl has her coworkers yelling at her for reasons that are not her fault or something she can fix as well as a man sitting here at the bar harassing her saying "come on Alex work for it this is why you work to get tips, right"? The poor girl can't even make it through her first week without probably wanting to quit. Props to you Alex. We really hope we get to see you again the next time we come to eat there, you're the only reason we would after tonight! But we totally understand if you aren't there the next time we come. People like Alex, you're the people we enjoy tipping. Enjoy your $40 tip. You more than deserve it. I hope you have the day...
