Restaurant needs some TLC to get to a better place. The decor looked mix matched, the hanging lights over the group booths were either not on or not working so it felt like dining in dim light, and the overall feel was run down. I am giving two stars instead of one because I did go on Mother's Day which I can imagine to be terribly busy for a restaurant (they did look like they were in the weeds).
Some of my family members were unnecessarily rude to the waitress, my husband and I tried to apologize, but for that I can't really blame the waitress for not checking up on our table more often.
However, the food was definitely sub par. My husband ordered blueberry pancakes with a steak omelette. I ordered a fajita omelette with hash browns. We put in our order after the rest of the table so we could look at the menu. So we received our food around 10 minutes after the rest of the table. What upset me was that we received our omelettes at one time, and the pancakes and hash browns 15 minutes later. They take less time to cook than omelettes so that was odd. Also, the waitress took our one half empty syrup container that the whole table shared to come back with the same, half empty, broken syrup container five minutes later. My husband fixed it with a pocket knife.
The fajita omelette I ordered was terrible. It stated on the menu carmelized onions, peppers, chicken, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. I did receive the cheese, sour cream, and salsa but the egg was cold, the chicken was on near six inch strips (three, folded in after the omelette was done, not a single onion, and a tablespoon surprise pocket of minced raw bell pepper in the exact center.
My husband's omelette was better, but not his pancakes. The pancakes were good, it was the blueberry topping. It tasted like old canned pie filling. It had a metallic taste that was not appealing. This is only a problem because this is the PANCAKE HOUSE. You would think that's what would shine out of the entire menu.
In summary: wait staff could be more attentive, kitchen needs a big improvement in what they put out to serve, decor needs work, and maintenance should make sure the lights in the dining room all work. My grandma loves this place so I'm sure they'll still have business however I'm not going back of my own free will. I majored in/worked in hospitality so maybe I'm being harsh but this place has potential to be better. Hope it improves in the...
Read moreMy first and last time ordering from this poorly ran establishment. I ordered a chicken fajita omelette add spinach with hashbrowns from the Grayson location. What I received was a kids menu cheese omelet, grits, 2 over-cooked slices of bacon and a small cup of orange juice!!!
I immediately called the restaurant and asked for a manager. Who hired Isabelle and why???? Her response: I packed the order myself, your Uber eats driver picked up 2 orders they got it wrong, I did my job. You didn't pay us you paid Uber you'll have to contact them. She was completely unconcerned.
I was able to contact the driver through the uber app and explain this fiasco hoping to get a resolution, the driver Deborah confirmed she picked up 2 orders from the restaurant but at different times so she couldn't have mixed up the orders. She further explained the drivers are NOT allowed to open the food, the bag did arrive sealed. I believe Isabelle just threw the uber eats driver under the bus to avoid accepting responsibility.
I called the restaurant back and asked to speak with a manager other than Isabellel. To my dismay Isabelle came back to the line placed me on hold and left me there for nearly 20 minutes before I disconnected the call. Feeling defeated, lightheaded and bamboozled I called one last time and requested a corporate number. It was explained that they're a franchise therefore I would need to speak with the owner. I was provided with the number to the Pancake House in Lawrenceville where the owner A. Salas is allegedly available .....tomorrow morning! Worst...
Read moreI truly wish I can give this place zero stars. Let me start of by saying my experience here was horrible. From the moment we walked in. The hosts looked as if he didn’t want to be there, no greeting, sat us down and not even a welcome. The waitress was good, I can not complain about her-very sweet lady. The food was okay, not great! Place is not clean. Cherry on top was to find a roach or ant crawling out of my sons pancake into his butter! And it was MOVING!!!!!!! As we were ready to leave my mother decided to inform the waitress on what had happened. She paid the bill and we were ready to walk out. As i was signing the receipt the “manager” approached us in regards. My mother and I spoke to her and she insisted that “she knows what they have and what they do not have in the restaurant” also said that it was a chocolate chip which my son had plain pancakes. My niece had chocolate chip pancakes. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I do not know what she was thinking because WE HAD ALREADY PAID THE ENTIRE BILL BEFORE SHE APPROACHED US. She should have apologized and continue with the refund in a professional manner. We didn’t ask for a refund, she insisted on refunding the money which is the only right thing to do. I wish she would have handled the situation differently instead of refunded the money and insinuating that we were lying about what happen. Thank god I decided to take a picture to show her. With picture and all she still disagreed, which is okay. She needs to be replaced with someone professional. I added a picture to this review. I will NOT be coming back...
