Bad experience at this location. I came in to return an unopened ps5 that I got from this location. I was sold by a new employee who got me on the warranty and all. At the time I didn’t know he was new. (This is important) I was told about the return policy being 90 days and went on about my business. I work 12-16 hrs a day. It ended up collecting dust in my game room. My wife encouraged me to take it back to the store because she knew I would not ever use it. I ended up taking her advise. I came in between day 70-90. I went to customer service and talked to the person at the counter and the young security guy for like 20-30 minutes. I told him my situation and showed them my receipt and explain to them how I’m never going to use it, and we laughed about a few things. The girl at the customer service desk told me that the item had exceeded the return policy and I explained to her that the gentleman who sold me the item told me that the return policy was 90 days . She then told me that certain items have 90 days but this item was an exclusion. I told her that's totally fine. The only thing I would ask is if I can speak to a manager. She called the manager and had no problem doing so and said that the manager will probably just approve it because you know it's unopened. when the manager arrived, it was a very young girl with a nose piercing, and she looked at me kind of funny and looked over my Receipt then she decided to open the PS five because she said she wanted to make sure it was still in the box. I told her I worked at retail and I understand exactly what she means. I just wouldn't want them to take a hit on it, but absolutely go for it. She opened it everything matched and then she told me sir Unfortunately, we’re not gonna be able to return this. I asked her why and she Said that this was outside of the return policy. (Keep in mind this was after she opened and verified everything was correct) I told her that the employee I bought it from told me 90 days. She said she could not verify that so she wouldn’t do it. She told me to take the now opened ps5 and there was nothing she could do. I told her no I brought in a upopened ps5 I would take that upon my exit. The security and the person at the desk were all staring at her. She then said ok and we walked back to the electronics section. In my path I found THE GUY who sold it to me. I explained to him in front of her what he told me about the policy. He CONFIRMED and remembered me. He told her he didn’t know at the time because he just started and didnt know it didn’t apply to the ps5. She didn’t have words for a moment. I said please just honor what I was told it was a miscommunication problem and a misunderstanding that has been verified. She went to the back grabbed an unopened ps5 and came back and said no. She said that’s what the policy is and I won’t return it. I said fine. Where is the person above you? She said there is no one I am the manager. Since I had no one to speak to I left angry withholding my words. This young girl should be coached in customer service. This is unacceptable. I was a manager in retail and was in charge of customer service at another retail chain. Never would I ever. Just make it right and move on. I don’t know the young girls name but she has a septum piercing and brown hair. Please beware!!!! (I eventually went to another target explaining the situation. I was finally able to...
Read moreI had an extremely upsetting experience at this Target location that I feel compelled to share. I went in looking for a popular product and asked a store associate if it was in stock. Without even checking, they told me it was sold out. However, shortly after, I witnessed two white male customers ask about the same product — and the staff retrieved the item from behind the guest services desk and sold it to them. I confronted the associate, and without letting me finish my sentence, they claimed those were “the last two.” This was deeply frustrating and upsetting, as I — an Asian customer — was told there were none left, while other customers were treated differently and received the product. Whether intentional or not, the difference in treatment felt discriminatory and racially biased. No customer should feel like they are being dismissed or treated unfairly based on their race or ethnicity. I hope this store takes a serious look at how they are training their staff and ensures equal and respectful treatment for everyone.
Update: 6 hours later, another friend of mine (Asian male) went there asked for the same product. He was told they never keep any of them at the customer service counter. However he took a peek and saw the product. Then he was asked to leave and told he was not allowed to purchase that item! Can’t believe this!! Both their morning shift and night shift...
Read moreUPDATE: They redid the entire store and it is so much more organized now. It is a much more pleasant shopping experience still struggle now and then and understand that people just don't seem to want to put clothes back where they belong but I see more employees doing their best to keep it organized.
In general I like this store. But the one section that I mainly come for (baby/toddler clothing) is ALWAYS a mess. I can come in the morning or afternoon and it is always messy. I spent 15 minutes this afternoon trying to bring some order to the clothing that I was looking through just to be able to find something. Nothing is ever where it is supposed to be and everything looks like they just throw it over there. While I was there today most of the people that walked through were complaining about how messy it always is. I usually end up leaving with nothing and having to just shop online. I think if they can keep the older kids section organized they should be able to keep this section organized. Beyond that the staff doesn't really ever care to help, except this one old lady who is quite over zealous and always wants to touch your kids and talk about her grandchildren (it was endearing at first but it got to the point where I would run when I saw her because she would hold you there to talk forever and keep...
